I thought that... until my grandfather corrected me.....his father saw the before and after games under both names...at several locations from 1890 including under street lights in Gladstone Rd and various pitches in Kings Park and then in 1899 at Castlemaine Av. Pokesdown.
He told me it was virtually the same players all through that period under both names and nothing much changed until Cooper-Dean came along around 1910..when they signed their first professional player after moving to Dean Court... basically i'd say it was the same club.

I know it has upset some of the old folk on here - but you should hear my kids talking about the MBJ hoodie - they love it and are desperate to get one.
Might be time for some on here to realise they are they have turned into the type of reactionary tedious old farts that they probably rebelled against when they were young.

Got to agree it would be great if MBJ getting involved would mean the quality of the leisure wear improving. At the moment imo it's really poor.
 
"Just Mercy" is on iplayer at the moment; a brilliant film, true story about a lawyer trying to save wrongly convicted prisoners on death row. he is a great actor!
