19th January 2023 - AFCB massive overpay for Dango Outtara. Protests for down and Foley has found a way to inject cash into his new club whilst adding some vital attacking options to the cherries squad.

Win/win. Focusing on the large fee as an example of anything other than Foley's investment strategy is silly.

We’re all aware that every single signing web made hasn’t been absolutely perfect, shock horror. If you were expecting a 20 year old that we signed from France to be the finished product straight away then that’s on you for being so naive. He did fine yesterday and has contributed plenty since he arrived.

Opinions should always be welcome but the pair of you just can’t bloody wait for us to lose so you have an opportunity to regurgitate the same old shite.
 
If anyone thinks this squad is better than Howes squad that got to 9th...then they are emotionally unstable or ignoring historical facts and stats !

That is not to say that Yes its on the way to being better...but losing to Luton and going 3 goals down at home in that first half is showing weakness and inconsistency...
...raising your game at Old Trafford but lowering it again for Sheffield and Luton is not exactly a professional ethic Batman !

As much as I'd like to rub it in to Southampton further about being our feeder club, I'd much prefer to see Pompey get our best loanees.

Highly unrealistic though, as no way they're going to cover 30k+ wages, or us subsidised the majority, as Southampton can.

I actually don't care a monkeys spitroast who comes and goes...as long as my ancestors legacy of being among the first fans of Boscombe St John's gets respected and we field 11 players to do battle with any rapscallions from foreign parts so I can peruse the tabulations of results of such pairings.
I can see us riding up and down the Divs including the 'premiership' over the next few decades...and then settling into a local league one day... I think the same might happen to Saints.. and even Manu...once the Money dries up...hopefully soon !

Re Dango, some posters are conveniently ignoring the circumstances we were in when he signed. Likewise with Traore.

We were looking like relegation fodder at that point, recently promoted and second bottom of the table without a win in many weeks. We did what many clubs have had to do in January before us, we overpaid because we were desperate. At that point very few players who had other options at PL level would have chosen to sign for us. We did what we had to do to give ourselves a chance, and it worked!

Say what you like about Dango, but without his match winning contributions against Spurs and Liverpool, and further contributions against Forest and Leeds, we would likely be a championship club right now.

But the likes of Dawson and Dragon are either incapable or unwilling to look at any kind of context behind those deals, they would rather ignore the circumstances behind it because it doesn’t suit their respective narratives.

Yes Neil I am telling you to get a grip, because this particular conversation has nothing to do with any of that. As you well know. I too have needed to get a f****g grip at many points in the past, as I have said before my behaviour on here has been laughable at times. Many people told me time and time again and I didn’t listen, a bit like you aren’t now. And yes I did become a forum joke, a bit like you have now too. Just because I’ve acted like a tit in the past it doesn’t mean I can’t call someone else out for doing so, in fact in many ways it makes me the most qualified. I’ve owned up to being wrong, say what you like about me but at least I can admit when I’ve acted like a bell. Would we ever see the same from you?

I disagree. Holding your hand up for being a complete cock on here, lying to everyone continually about who you were and slagging the club off at every opportunity allows you the right to come back be very humble and make amends while everyone gives you time to prove you are no longer a cock. Everyone deserves that.

When you then have a go at people for them demonstrating what you perceive to be similar behaviour to what you apologised for it just makes you a hypocrite and you take two steps back on your journey from cock to normality.
