That's going to send a few of you in to overdrive this afternoon, trying to find other. just to prove me wrong. ;o)
 
I can remember my dad talking of the 1949 6-1 at Brighton...my mum and dad had got married in the previous week and spent the honeymoon in Brighton , then on to London for another away game.

9 years before my parents met.....so probably.

I am one of the few to have been at the 79 Tranmere game.
Mainly by luck as I was on HMS Newcastle which had docked for a weekend visit in Liverpool.

In the sparse away end, boosted by 2 mates who came along for the crack, we had a ball. Maybe 30-40 fans tops.

And of course, the famous Kenny Allen v OAP encounter which was at the other end of the ground.

Was at all those games, my favourite was hammering 5 past Mansfield on a rainy Friday night. Ted scored 4 and Phil the other one.
