The Oscar-nominated screenwriters who wrote The Fighter have been hired to write a movie about Leicester City's surprise premiership win.

Briton Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson's yet-to-be titled film will focus on Jamie Vardy and his journey from factory worker to top scoring striker.

Leicester City club beat 5000/1 odds to win the Premier League earlier this year.

"The story represents everything we love in a movie," Tamasy told Deadline.

Don't care if most people think he's a cvnt, his story is remarkable/inspirational and I'll be watching the movie.

What he did at the casino was very wrong but to be fair he had a rough upbringing with no father figure and thought the man was looking at his cards in a high stakes poker game- I know I'd be mad if I thought someone was doing that too.

Part of me wonders if he even knew how offensive that term is to the Japanese, he doesn't seem too book smart after all...
