I think when you have a fulcrum in the midfield who makes themselves constantly available, can take it in a tight spot, create a yard of space and accurately lay it off to someone else that changes the whole complexion of the team. Less panic and rushing to get the ball away.
That man should be Lewis Cook. Through no fault of his own we currently have Gosling in his place and that just isn't his game. Despite his critics he does have a lot of positive qualities but sadly, he also often has the first touch of a monster truck.
