Have Afcb reached their peak?

Stop all this Bidding of Good Evenings...it's far too positive. I see that, then turn on the News .....and just get more of this ere Doom!
My Missus keeps saying , I beg your pardon, to me...I never know what to reply with...she is begging for something I don't know the meaning of......funny ol language !

Tell her she's a stupid woman. You'll be on all the front pages.

Loads more Peaks to come....we are in the Loop now!
No one can ever again come into this club and not think something can be achieved....that's at least one Legacy Eddie has put in place!

Smhinto it’s obvious you are always on the wind up, sad really.

We’ve had our best start to a premier league season ever, made some excellent signings in Lerma and Brooks, we’ve just played Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal as well as tough games away at Newcastle and Wolves. Callum Wilson is knocking them in for fun, We are probably about 13 points off safety with 21 games left (3 points off the top 6). I’d say rose tinted spectacles aren’t needed at all when you look at the facts.

I bid you a lovely evening.

Yes we have made an excellent start and good signings, agreed.

We are now 11 points from safety and will reduce drastically in the next few weeks due to injuries to key players and having to face Spurs and Man Utd away very soon in which defeat is the very likely outcome. Wilson is not exactly knocking them for fun is he?

And I am not trying wind people up. I am just presenting reality and realism to the current situation that we are in.

Yuletidal greetings to you.

Yes we have made our best start to the season and yes, we have made some excellent signings - agreed.

But this good start is now evaporating very quickly due to injuries to key players. We are now 11 points clear of the bottom three and this will reduce drastically very soon with away games at Spurs and Man Utd both which will end up in likely defeats. Then of course Southampton and Fulham will start to pick up points with their new managers honey-moon periods (Southampton played superbly against Arsenal last week with a change of style).

Wilson is not exactly knocking them inf or fun is he?

A little more realism needs to be applied here.

We won’t get relegated. Realism applied

So when are Fulham going to start to pick up points then - Rainieri's been there a month played 4 games (3 at home) and all he has done is scrap a lucky win over Mark Hughes scummers.
Southampton picked up a lucky 3 points over Arsenal who ended up with only 2 defenders on the pitch because of injury.

We've suffered from injuries lately. The last couple of seasons we've been relatively lucky on that front.
It happens to all clubs occassionally. Seasons Greetings you miserable **************** !

So having a BMW for short time is the same as never having one?
I suppose a bit like predicting a loss or a draw then after we win saying you were nearly correct.
I think these Statements show you are complete Walter......Mitty Steven.

Quite likely he’s actually talking to himself.......a familiar pattern of multiple accounts and liking of comments between them will no doubt soon emerge.....

I assume you must be an escapee from the Echo forum where there are still idiots on there accusing each of other of having multiple accounts. I would suggest you take yourself back there. I find this a sensible forum where one can exchange views and receive a reasonably sensible answer in most cases bar the odd one or two of course.

couldn't have put it better myself...

I’ve got smhinto on ignore and I’ve got to say, most threads make hardly any sense there’s so much hidden. Best not to feed the troll.

For what it’s worth I don’t think we’ve peaked. You assume that a peak is a one off event tapping into a singular emotion. It’s not like that. We peak for different reasons at different times.

I had my young/free away day peak in Cardiff.
I had my once in a lifetime pinch me I’m dreaming peak when we beat Bolton and a sponsor invited me to the end of season awards. Slamming bombs with tommy.
I had my couldn’t be prouder peak when pitman and vokes took forest apart against all odds.
I had my no its just something in my eye peak seeing Eddie smother Harry on the sidelines.
I had my I know this is my club peak driving back from Carlisle not really bothered about relegation because I didn’t mind what league we were in.

There will be 1000 other peaks, good and bad. If league position at the end of the year is the only one that you care about then I feel bad for you.

You can ask that of any team...only Man City and Liverpool vying for the Peak this season...and they were expected to!
When we came up....I would have taken the Peak to mean staying up any which way for 5 to 10 seasons!...If we crack that then we can aim further..that will do me! If we start worrying about this being a Peak we tempt fate to slide off it. Something like that!

Answer to the question - no, I don't think we have. There will be a ton more exciting games and results to come, plus the usual bad ones. I also think we could get to the 6/7th place finish at some point, so an aim for a European campaign and I still think a Cup Final may happen one day. This season for me, is an attempt to build from last. Despite recent weeks where much has been down to bad luck, I still think by the end, we could have beaten our best points tally in the PL. Then we go again next season to do a bit better again.
