Philip

The 23-year-old was not given a squad number for this season and fined three weeks' wages for saying of Siewert: 'He is special. Real German mentality, little strange. He came in like he had won the Premier League five times, a little arrogant, and I think most of the players lost the respect for him after week one. People could see there was something wrong.'

It's funny how we band numbers around low numbers when buying, but are willing to take ridiculous sums for our players being sold.

If you look at the fees we commanded for both Mings (circa £25m) and Mousett (circa £9m) and then you look at BIlling, who has played 2 seasons in the PL with Huddersfield, and was one of there higher avg rated players, you'd have to say £17m isn't too far off.

We've just paid £13m for an unproven defender, in Lloyd Kelly...

Another report saying exclusive.

Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Huddersfield Town midfielder Philip Billing, Football Insider understands.

The 23-year-old is keen to leave the Terriers following their relegation last season and Bournemouth are ready to offer him a chance to stay in the Premier League.

A Cherries source has told Football Insider that Eddie Howe is a big admirer of Billing and has sanctioned a move for him as he looks to get a deal done before the window shuts.

Billing is 'a unit' so to speak, a box to box athlete.
A midfield 5 of Lerma and Billing as the engine room, behind the creative 3: Brooks, L.Cook and WeeMan..
Could be interesting

So that suggest one striker only.......in a 4 5 1. Personally I dont think we will score enough goals with that line up....and as we know King is like a 'fish out of water' when played behind Wilson but maybe he could replace WeeMan so that we are prepared for his departure

No such thing as 4-5-1 anymore. Every team staggers a 5 man midfield so it’s either a 4-1-4-1 like Man City or a 4-2-3-1 which is very popular nowadays. As long as midfielders are given freedom to go forward then we’ll score goals with this formation...just like other teams can score with these formations.

We won’t often have the luxury of all of our players being available so I don’t see the importance of a “who do we leave out?” discussion. Nice problem to have when it crops up.

Billing would be an excellent addition, provided Eddie doesn’t heed Neil’s advice to broaden our coaching team only to bring in a German coach.
