AFC Bournemouth v Sheffield U

Just heard Eddie being interviewed, after saying it was always going to be a difficult game today, the conditions, opposition and also the slow pitch.

But he wasn’t happy.

All you can say is lots of room to improve ......

Pretty disappointing though, agree Steve Cook was MoM but it would have resonated more with a clean sheet. Smith good in the early going, Billing OK, Mepham as well. Rico showed effort, but some pretty poor play as well. Not much else to see from the rest. As with others, wasn't clear why no subs around the 75th minute, no real pace at the front and subs available?

Thanks. I said to the surgeon I am an AFCB fan, what chances of going Saturday. He is also a football fan, supports the Gunners but said too soon.

I was in Poole hospital, never been there before, what a view from my room on the third floor. All staff were brilliant, thanks NHS.

Should be at the City game all being well.

Hope you enjoy the game today even in the tricky conditions.

By the way Stacey is not Premier League fit yet.

Fingers crossed everything goes to plan and you’re at city game. Good game for you to miss today!

Drama queens,it's very subjective watching a game of football, and I say it as I see it.And we were poor today, especially the front two. When we play well I'll say we did also.If that makes me a drama queen then Fek me,alas poor Yorick,I knew him,Horatio

I have no issues with anyone who has been left disappointed with the game, the performance, the result and wants to come here and explain why, in a reasoned way.

I have not time for the likes of Resevoir Red, who come here and predict relegation based on one game. On social media too, some complete bell ends absolutely ripping the team and Eddie to shreds. Surely we have all supported the team enough to know, we get games like today [ we didn't lose by the way ]. Over reacting to a dull performance is just a tad pointless.

Then mate, that would be drama queen not queens

.....drama queens?...it was a poor performance from a tactically wrong formation and that’s all!

Eddie should be big enough to take some blame for this?

That said...Ramsdale was a positive selection and Lerma was in good form.

I do hope that we employ a back four next week and use better width versus Villa?

I think the injures made us look more defensive than we intended to be, and that contributed to us producing much. At a guess I think we would've lined up as
-----Ramsdale
Meps-Cook-Ake
Smith-------Kelly
--Lerma--Brooks
Fraser-Wilson-King
Smith and Kelly might've been more forward thinking and Brooks along side Lerma would've also seen more short balls forward and hopefully better movement from the front three. It seemed that the front three weren't moving until the ball got at least 15 yards into the opposition half, whereas if they'd started making moves a touch earlier there would've been more options for Lerma and Billing to hit
I think EH was reluctant to add a midfielder (despite us requiring one) in case perhaps it looks like our two "strong"est midfielders can't handle being outnumbered. Massively surprised no changes were forthcoming earlier, we rarely look super comfortable in that formation, not so much the back being the issue but more no-one up top seems to want to come back down the pitch to collect the ball
