Yeah, I know, we're only 11 games in but who are your contenders for Player of the Season so far?

For me it's Cook, Rambo, and Ake.

Honourable mentions go to Billing and Lerma.

And the Most Improved Player has to be Rico.

In order:

Cook
Ake
Lerma
Ramsdale
Billing
Rico
C Wilson
H Wilson
King

Before saturday it was Ake, but Cook's performance against MU has just edged him ahead for me.

Very happy with all the above so far. Smith has been injured for a bit, but fine when he has played. Only disappointment has been Fraser. And the rest havent played enough yet to get a mention.

Billing and Rambo for me as they were untested and could have gone either way - both have come in, done really well and look very good value considering what we paid.

I can’t look past Cook. Ake very close..... and then the honourable mentions for the ones others have named.

It is funny how the two players off their game were the two with the biggest headlines last year Fraser and Wilson. Maybe people’s game plan is now to stop their strengths...

According to Whoscored our Top 5 performers so far are...

1. Diego Rico
2. Philip Billing
3. Joshua King
4. Steve Cook
5. Nathan Ake

Personally, I'd have to go with either Billing, Rico or Cookie, with honorable mentions for Ramsdale and Ake.

For me player of the season ( so far ) also has to also be most consistent .Billing or Ramsdale coming in as the new boys have been excellent Ake always in with a shout .

Cook ...just in front of Rambo and Ake.

Cook ....as well as his performances ..when he walks out the tunnel he has this expression of....' We are Bournemouth - we mean business'.....and always looks the most gutted when we blow it...with a 'so what' look when we win!
Thankfully...he stays clear of injury most of each season.
I think Billing could snatch Player of the Season from Cook if he carries on as he is.
You can never rule out Ake...but we expect things from him dont we.

Billing doesn't seem to know how to head a ball. It just goes forward, normally to the opposition. At corners he is no where to be seen.

In order as we are 11 games in, my top 11:

1. Steve Cook- How is he not in the England team, seriously?
2. Nathan Ake
3. Aaron Ramsdale
4. Diego Rico- Most improved player and i read somewhere that he has created more chances than any other left-back in the league and is in the top 5 for interceptions per 90'
5. Philip Billing- Better than i thought he'd be, a lot better.
6. Jefferson Lerma- Jeff's just Jeff, we love him!
7. Josh King (could have been anywhere between 3 and 7, but since he has only scored 1, i'll put him at 7th)
8. Callum Wilson
9. Adam Smith
10. Jack Stacey
11. Harry Wilson
