Their striker could've seriously hurt Franno early on with a boot to his face, let alone their defender on Fraser to.

Nine points and nine places below Sheffield United - you could have got long odds against that at the start of the season.
 
Felt the foul that bloodied Fraser’s nose was disgusting. Looked like he went in with shoulder and elbow. Dirty lot. It’s hard to win when one of your fastest players is smashed. Not to mention the blow to Francis. Hope they drop like stones now
 
Could have written that script before the game.
Burnley shithousery - Bournemouth no clue how to break down a determined defence.
I think Pope’s kit spoke volumes - 95 mins it was totally pristine - never had a thing to do to get it dirty.
 
As posted on the other Burnley thread, but I'm so ticked off that I am down to repeating myself!!

Miserable watch. Burnley was as predicted, and in the end I would have taken a point. Three comments:
* Ramsdale and Lerma outstanding.
* I used to quite like Martin Atkinson, but he is having a miserable season. Seemed to go to pieces after injury to Gomes (Son red card, overturned), has had a couple of questionable calls that I remember as VAR. He seemed way over his head today.
* Not blaming Solanke for the goal, but why was Billing taken off? Surely at that point, it was more viable to defend the point than go for three?
 
Don’t really know what to say tbh. Atkinson had an absolute fucking stinker. Neither side really created anything. Did one of our lads switch off for the goal?

King didn’t track back on his man so he had time to pick out a cross unchallenged.

Tbf to King he was visibly puffing at that stage having put a proper shift in/been our brightest player going forward

Atkinson and Friend by far the worst refs in the league, who lets them near a pitch

Too fucking right. The worst was when he idiotically stopped the game right as we were about to score. I know there’s that new rule about stopping the game when it hits the ref, but...it barely even grazed him, and the pass was going to the same player it ended up going to anyway. Maybe I’m just being salty, but imo he stole a certain goal from us through sheer incompetence.
 
without going all neil on everyone i think 4 4 2 would of been a better option we needed 2 up front but not wilson, he doesnt even really try anymore just walks around the pitch laughing about the fact he will get his 100k each week, thank god we didnt bring stan on he would of been crocked for another 9 months playing in that game
 
Poor refeeing . Poor poor refereeing. Atkinson really needs to take a look at himself and ask himself the question ' was that acceptable?' How the first card didn't come out until the 43rd minute was inexusable. But...that aside we know how Burnley play and should've dealt with it better. Sometimes you have to lower yourself to their standards, get in the refs ear, bring out the gamesmanship. For all our good play we didn't have a shot on target that I can remember, they marshalled and managed our threat very professionally. Its not nice that we lose to that style of football but thank the football god's that we don't have to watch that every week.

I don’t disagree, but tbf Burnley reached another level of shithousery today. The Barnes dive was almost artfully cunty.

But yeah, we were well on top for most of the second half, but we just didn’t create nearly enough. I would have been so ELATED with a draw considering the context of the game tbh.
