Jonathan Moss is the referee, this will be the first time we have had him this season.

Last season we had him for two away games at Watford and Cardiff.

You can say that again. Worst refereeing performance I can remember - gave them everything whilst they were getting away with their niggly fouls. Anything we did...free kick straight away.

Fat idiot.

Seemed to get caught in the emotion of the day. I know we all moan about refs at every game but some of the decisions that day were truly jaw-dropping.

Probably one of the most unfair matches I've ever seen; even the commentators were getting in on the action, preemptively accusing us of diving multiple times with righteous anger in their voices...only to mumble "looks like he got clipped there" a few moments later like the hacks they are.

Even more galling looking back with hindsight, given how they've treated Nantes in the wake of Sala's death. "One of our own...when it's convenient". :downer:

The way that game was officiated and reported in the media absolutely made my blood boil at the time ! Worst case of "bandwagonism" I'd seen in a very long time. Awful !

How he passes the stringent referee fitness tests, I'll never know. He looks more like a darts player than a top flight official.

81/82 div 4 when managed by ex Chelsea player Dave Webb
Always liked David Webb, a true professional player who could play anywhere on the pitch.
He played as a goalkeeper for an entire match keeping a clean sheet and then he scored two goals in the return game as a centre forward.
