Watford v AFC Bournemouth

I am not his biggest fan by any means but those shots were swerving all over the place.

I'm not so sure, anyway he seems to save an awful lot of longshots with his elbows, how come you don't see any other keeper do this? Tbh though I doubt any of us are keepers, it really needs a proper keeper's opinion on it.

Bego the sat night fall guy ?

I didn't see much wrong with his performance today...

I said he's done well since he's been given the gloves - something I was one of the very few people to call for pre season I might add.

He needs to improve on how he deals with longshots in my opinion though. It seems everyone either has to be graded 10/10 or 0/10 these days.

Very good point against a very good side. I'll be very surprised if they don't go up this year. That said, I thought we were the better side, but a draw is fair on balance of play. Really impressed with L Cook today, thought he showed he's got the player in him that we all hope is there. I think we're lucky with Kelly's challenge, if it was the other way round I'd want the red card. Never mind, eh?

wouldn't you rather have a couple of messy looking saves and resultant corners than letting the shots in or trying to catch them and giving oncoming attackers a tap in?
To be honest he hasn't said what he actually expects bego to do, catch em, punch etc, he didn't do anything wrong

I think he should have caught both of those longshots.

He certainly shouldn’t have had such poor footwork to not be behind the ball. That’s why you’re then able to parry it with your arms, elbows, collar bone etc, but instead he took far too big a step to his left. Thankfully got his hands to it and then made an excellent recovery save. But his footwork was all over the place.

The ball was all over the place, lots of swerve.

I honestly didn't think so with the elbow save. They showed it from behind and I don't know why he couldn't have just caught it. He does that a lot as if he's made his mind up that he won't ever try to catch them.

The ball was all over the place, lots of swerve.

Admittedly we haven’t seen this Mitre ball with our own eyes, but that ball has never swerved all over the place like the rubbish Nike balls do. It can dip dramatically but not move left and right. The Mitre always flew pretty true.

Im with SDD here. You can criticize him for at least 2 shots today. The idea that you don't catch a ball in your midriff thats coming straight for you and a bread and butter ball for keepers is a weird one.

He still played well overall but some poor decision making could have cost us.
