Penalty denies Cherries their just reward
Brentford 1 Cherries 1

EDDIE Howe was left to rue another dubious penalty decision on the road as Cherries left Griffin Park with just a point to show for a hugely impressive performance.

After a first half high on quality from Howe’s men, it took until the 64th minute for Danny Hollands’s header to break the deadlock.

But Lewis Grabban’s penalty got Brentford back on terms just four minutes later.

Referee Andy Woolmer pointed to the spot after Charlie MacDonald went down under pressure from Marvin Bartley. In truth, it appeared as if MacDonald had simply lost his footing on the slippery Griffin Park turf.

Thanks.

Presumably that includes cup games as stats given arent all even numbers?

This is the type of team that we really enjoy playing.......they'll try to get numbers forward and will leave space in behind for us to exploit.....it'll be interesting to see if JT goes with 433 or 4231 which would be my preference if Danjuma is fit....if he isn't then this might be the ideal game for Sam to play up front with Dom in the 352 that destroyed Barnsley ......that's if Brentford play their normal game of course ....don't know much about their manager but i really hope he's naive enough to do so.

Going into this game Brentford have hardly had a break between games.

AFCB will have had a 11 day break to recharge the batteries.

Now this could work either for us or against us, depending which AFCB team turn up on the night.

The one that comes back firing on all cylinders or the one that splutters, before gradually starting.

We have seen both sides from our team after international breaks.

It could be argued that we/they played at different DCs,as the first DC was nowhere near the same as when it was rebuilt ?.

We need to start like a house on fire and go at them from the start, grab an early goal and play on the break

brentford rested a lot of players for Newcastle so will be interesting to see how many changes they make for the 3 games this week.

after a couple of sluggish performances (Wycombe and Luton), hoping the rest will help us. I would take a point now if offered tbh

This could be the biggest game in our History as far as the Future is concerned...followed by one which will have so much sh*t attached to it by the Forum...My God its a Tasty and Testy week !

Then...the players get ' another'...' break'.. a break from the tension.......the FA Cup....so that's probably the end of that for another year.....and then.... the prospect of loads of postponements due to Covid..and possible early end to the season !
....I just don't know what to think about it all...
