Brentford- The verdict.

Think the first goal was a great corner harsh to say that was poor defending.
Smith lost it second half, Lewis cook should never have gone off, apart from that we played the best team in the league and should have got something out of it.
Lerma sub was just trying something different with minutes left
 
Need to score when on top against promotion rivals as you know they will create chances at some point during the game. Would have preferred Surridge on first instead of king

As Al said, move on to next game.

I thought Brentford had run out of steam, actually, but both full backs let us down for winner. Two good teams, it’s just a shame we were on the wrong side of the result.
 
Thought we had no answer to the 2 by 2 in the centre of defense always getting forced wide for weak crosses which turned possession back over to them.
 
Its the first game they have won against teams at the top I think the commentator said, they are a good side but we let them win?
 
Having witnessed three Bournemouth teams achieve automatic promotion in my lifetime I have to say that unfortunately this does not feel like I’m watching a team that will be promoted automatically. Plenty of quality for sure, but something not quite right in terms of mentality. As a poster alluded to above, we either seem to be very good or totally ineffective, there is very little in between. We lack the nous and game management to seriously challenge come the end of the season. You just knew that when we missed those two chances early on that it would come back to bite us, if this was the 2014/15 team then you’d bank your house on them to create countless more, but this team it doesn’t feel like that. Apart from game management the biggest difference in quality between this team and the 14/15 side is the full backs, our current full backs are a long long way off Francis and Daniels from that year. It’s our weak area tbh, both defensively and offensively.
