Scott Parker

He was made redundant and now works for AFCB.

The Echo sports department cover us and Southampton, so not as good as it once was.

Yes we all know Perrett is now at AFCB! I was referring to the fact that for the past month we haven't heard a dickie from him in his AFCB capacity!

Lol........our Fulham friend's latest 'update'.

Hi all, there is currently some significant issues with the Parker deal, it’s all a mess. We had all been told it was done, however, at the last minute AFCB have changed their offer for Parker, and no longer want to pay any compensation, Fulham have (quite rightly) said no to this. My source and FFC thought it was a done deal. Now we are in Limbo, Parker will not resign without a payoff and AFCB will not pay any money currently. Obviously Parker’s position at FFC is untenable so now fulham are in a difficult position. They are continuing to recruit a new manager, and then May end up placing Parker on gardening leave until a deal can be sorted. It’s a mess yes, however, I actually stand by the club here. I know people will question my credibility because of the change of stance, however, I can only rely things I’m told by more than 1 source. Time will tell how this plays out. In more positive news, I’ve also been told that TK has stepped back in all but name. He has not been involved in the recruitment for a new manager and Shad Khan has been heavily involved in this. The club are likely to appoint a new assistant director of football (probably Pereira if he doesn’t get the managers job) alongside a Director of Scouting. If I find out anymore I’ll let you know

From what I read yesterday (above page 67) it was not our club refusing the compensation but Fulham not willing to pay compensation to Swansea City for Cooper.

Since then it has been reported that Palace are possibly back in for Cooper after their other target didn’t want to come back into football yet (not Eddie).

He interviews the players and coaches, all of which are on holiday or don’t even know if they are returning. What is he supposed to be doing?

I may be wrong but I'm indifferent ( oooh Matt ) so can't be bothered to re-read this thread. I don't think there's been any credible journalist or back up to say we're pursuing Scottie Parker for manager. I like to think we're waiting for Eddie or Steve Clark to " get back to us", shake hands on a deal and away we go : )
Dull negative football with too few goals no thanks
And Clarke is even worse......

Copied from the Fulham forum. Take it with a pinch of salt considering ‘the deals done’ ‘the compensation has been agreed’ ‘Parker was at AFCB’s training ground’ ‘AFCB won’t pay the compensation’ ‘the deal will be announced in the next couple of days’. Now basically saying Parker is still at Fulham and they will sack him…..

Thanks for the support guys. I’ve had a chat with my source, it’s all very messy currently. TK is LIKELY to step back in all but name. Pereira if he does not get the managers job, will be Director of Scouting but will have FULL control of all sides of recruitment. Cooper was all set to come to Fulham, had agreed terms with us, however, Fulham hadn’t agreed the fee with Swansea for him. However, then Palace came calling and it looks like he wil now end up at Palace. Fulham are now likely to SACK Scott Parker to end the stand off. AFCB are adamant they won’t pay for Parker, and Parker is adamant he won’t leave without a payoff from Fulham. He’s basically downed tools. Which leave Shad Khan in an awkward position, TK has not been involved in the managerial process at any point. So Khan now likely to sack Parker and pay him off to end the impasse. I understand Shad Khan is getting more twitchy each day this goes on, so this will be resolved by end of the week.

Stuart Gray and Steve Wigley will run training this week until a new manager is in place.
I’m told Neil Lennon is categorically not in the running. Eddie Howe was approached and flatly refused as he wants a Prem job. And it’s currently oooking like Bilic or Pereira. pereira is the last resort as Fulham see him as the ideal person to run the recruitment.

Resolved by the end of the week….where have we heard that before

This just keeps getting better!...... Eddie apparently 'flatly refused when approached'.......I'm sorry is this the same Eddie Howe who 'threw his hat in the ring' a few days ago?......:D

I sadly believed a lot of the Fulham fans posts on here but the longer it went on the least credible it became. I’ve no doubt we are interested in Scott Parker but I think everything else is just guess work.

I say get JW on the first train down ready for training tomorrow!
