Posted this elsewhere but there was nothing lucky about the penalty. The contact was started outside the area but continued into the area and so was correctly given as a penalty. Actually, an excellent decision from the ref. Gave himself a moment to think before awarding it.

Not what I'm seeing, defensively much better than last year, pressing much better. Unbeaten after 11, top and 3 points clear, any positives you see?

Is this a joke? What a reaction to being 3 points clear at the top and 11 games unbeaten.

I guess the pessimist is never disappointed, but maybe try to enjoy it...
 
Posted this on the match thread, but that was so good I'll post it twice!!

Man, no risk of dozing off during that one!! A little something for everybody, I think.

Christie looks like a real find, might not be as much of a threat on offense as Brooks, but he works hard!! Smith flying around the pitch, especially in the first half.

Pearson and Lerma ..... hard men who played exceptionally well despite some knocks.

That's entertainment ....... what I was told the Championship would be like. Even a small melee.

Btw, I really enjoyed Tommy E.'s commentary.

I mean, yes, how can there have been any negatives in watching our most talented squad in history get relegated without a clue or any fight…:unsure:

Good for the ref then. Haven’t seen it back.
 
Great result in difficult conditions.....we did what we do....ground out a result....got a bit lucky with the pen but we'll take it...... don't know what it is with opposition striker's missing sitters but long may it continue..... better to have a lucky manager than a good one.....Pearlo and Lerma were magnificent....as was Christie.
We are going to be very hard to beat.

Surely if we continue to over perform, our expected will go up, or doesn't it work that way?

Yep, kids brought it home. The pseudo-sunburn if you have it, is the strangest, but I've had many worse hangovers. Son's team were playing at half time at Shef Wed's game today, (obviously we couldn't go). The reason I mention it is that one of the dad's refused to watch his son as he wouldn't go to Hillsborough unless Utd were playing! The rivalry is still strong.

But back on topic - what a great result :utc:

FWIW, I'm in the (small?) group who think we have slightly more points than we deserved to at this stage, but also think we'll go up.
 
Great result. Christie's best game. Absolutely no negatives. Awesome in the last 20 minutes. Moussette hitting the bar was the Cherries on the cake.
 
Everyone worked hard, very hard. That's what you ask for and we got it.

Improvements to be made still but when you can grind like we have so far this season the points will tick along.

Disappointed to concede, Zemura let his man get goal side. But the perfect reaction.
