Fulham v AFC Bournemouth

Waz has his opinion, we all have our opinions. No need for shitty childish posts highlighting when , during the heat of a match , it may seem opinions are proved wrong. FFS celebrate the goal, not the opportunity to put someone down
Agree, the irony is they try to make out like I am the pathetic one, yet they can’t wait to bring me up at every opportunity. Glad somebody else sees it too. But there is a few of them who seem to be a bit of a clique and seem to enjoy geeing each other on so if it makes them feel good I guess…

What a good game of football and a fair result in the end, although with the minutes ticking away we might have pinched the 3 points.

The signs were back that our blip in recent games had been that just a blip when we were home last Saturday, our side playing comfortable controlled football and seemed always in charge against Coventry City until that sending off.

Tonight we saw our side without Lerma but with Cahill and Smith back.

The central pairing of Cahill and S Cook was a perfect partnership with Cook having an outstanding game in defence, stopping the Championship top scorer getting any real cut chances and also gave a real captain’s performance putting his body in the way two make two great blocks one after the other and was the Sky MOM.

That goal of ours straight after the half-time break was brilliantly worked, which was worked on in training the day before.

So we can now look forward positively for future games and as Scott Parker said we will be getting more players back.

Would have taken a point before the ball was first kicked tonight and that was exactly what we got.

Didn't see Travers put a foot/hand wrong all night
I just thought that there was a couple of times he puched when he could have caught, there was also that moment where he had a heavy touch on a backpass and needed to kick it out. Nothing major and obviously nothing that caused a goal, just seemed like the atmosphere got to him initially.

Considering the ever changing availability of players in the past month or so, great credit should be given to Parker and his team IMO.
They seemed to pick the right team and formation for each opponent to keep us in the top two during a very challenging spell.
It can’t have been easy but they passed that particular test with flying colours IMO so well done to them all !

I get confused with Smith and Stacey.
I find which ever of them starts I end up thinking the other should have started. Lol

Smith far more aggressive and better at defending. Stacey is better going forward and at shooting in my opinion. If you play with 3 centre backs and wing backs, Stacey is your man. If you need a right back, it's Smith.

I'm also missing in action with a cold and cough.

Didn't think it would go down too well on the coach, some bloke with a runny nose and a cough even though it's not Covid.

Funny, pre Covid I wouldn't have given it a thought, I'd have just taken an extra hanky.

Was on the coach and there were plenty of coughs I can tell you.

Just hope we can get Zemura back soon as we really do need Smith back at RB to be a more secure defensive unit in fact I think we need a RB in the January window as cover IMO As for Billing he is languid but what he can offer is vital to us

If it was the olden days then yes, he could have caught the ball as back then it didn't move in flight.

Now the ball has a line of flight similar to a beach ball, so keepers are taught to punch unless they are totally certain they can catch it.

If he'd tried a catch and dropped it at the feet of a striker then the message board would be a totally different place this morning.

The MOM last night for AFCB and overall MOM.

Sky - Steve Cook - MOM.

BBC - Ryan Christie - MOM.

Whoscored - Mark Travers - AFCB. - Tosin Adarabioyo MOM.

Thanks, that's really cheered me up.

Am I the only one with a social conscience?

(Which cost me sixty quid, but that's maybe a story for another day on the Ticket Office thread.)

Quite possibly one of few with a social conscience. You will probably feel cheered up if we get Covid, though. Very few marks worn on coaches too. Poor. Anyway, thanks for thinking of others.

Parker isn't rigid in only playing one formation. Certain opposition could see us going with a back 3 of Cook on the left, Kelly Central and Cahill on the right. Zemura as a wing back, not too shabby.

not when the opinion is that our support is a disgrace just because no one else is having a bedwetting meltdown when we concede a corner

folk are entitled to react to that in any way they feel appropriate
just an opinion
