I feel sorry for Ukraine tonight, lots of 'solidarity' from other countries but in reality they are on their own trying to stop the tanks and missiles.

I think China as sitting back with smiles on their faces. They can't criticise Putin when they want to do the same to Taiwan and half of the China seas. They are probably hoping for the same response from world leaders when they do make their moves.

Scenes on social media from central Moscow tonight of people congregating in support of Ukraine. Riot police trying to move people on, reportedly hundreds of arrests. A shame such voices won't make it onto Russian media for a wider domestic audience.

Hmmm....as France and Germany for starters take 4 times as many as us every year i think your maths are faulty.. I'm willing to bet Poland take 20 times at least as we do..
 
My take on this is to expect a massive build up of Nato forces in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania under the guise of a 'training exercise ' to deter any Russian 'interest' in the region.

100%. Putin knows bar USA and uk no one spends enough on defense and they are led by weak leaders. If he goes after the Baltic states I think NATO will cease to exist
 
Nice to see the "good guys" at the EU refusing to even place sanctions.

I don't see Brexit as wholly good or bad but I don't want political union with a bunch of greedy immoral cowards.

Honest question looking for an honest answer. Do you accept that you've been told many times that we take a small fraction of refugees in Europe. Do you not believe the statistics or do you simply lie to yourself to justify your view of the world?
