Summer transfers

It doesn’t matter what I think. He clearly thought it though and I think going public and the subsequent press reaction has shocked them into a bit of action. The money was clearly there as we spent 12m in a position we didn’t need.

Tavs is going to be a left wing back. I think we do need him. Can't only have JZ. Alternatively, a right winger, or left-footed number 8 on the right which we also need as Christie only fills this role at the moment. We've long needed versatile signings like this.

So you're seriously suggesting that Blake and Hughes have been playing hangman in Blakes office all summer? Parker has a moan to the press and suddenly Blake says "**************** Richard ! Scotty's gone and moaned to the press. We'd better do something before Max finds out. "
Come off it Neil, they have been waiting for the finances to be put in place before deals are sealed, the player's that they're targeting will have been listed for weeks if not months with Parker's approval. Parker's gripe was with the fact that the finances weren't sown up sooner. That could be down to Blake but it could also been down to Max or the finance company
We are all agreed on three scenarios either 1) things weren’t right with finance/recruitment or 2) Parker wasn’t briefed or 3)he was briefed and has that little respect for his superiors he went public on tv twice. Either way it’s more amateur showing from our board. This is is not the start to a PL campaign anyone should have.

Or....... Some of you could just stop dissecting every word Parker says to the press, get behind him & the team on Saturday (instead of moaning about every pass that goes backwards or is misplaced)

You could also just let the board get on with their jobs, which for all we know they clearly seem to be doing with the snippets of gossip that get revealed.

Just a thought.

Good luck with that!

We all know that about 10% of our "support" will start moaning while the team is being read out (probably at Mepham) and won't be stopping until the season is over, except to celebrate a goal occasionally.

Neil, please give it a rest, it was Parker that was amateurish, with his childish tantrums

Who agreed to those 3 scenarios?

Summary of what people have said on here but feel free to add.

it's a badly worded summary of the agenda you've been running for months/years criticising everyone connected with the board, however tenuous

as you've given permission, I'll add;
4) we were bang average in a couple of friendlies, parker was pissed off and chucked his toys in an interview to deflect from the performance

So poor behaviour from the manager. Who chose him?:grinning:

We have a different opinion, I don’t think he is childish nor did it come across as a tantrum. Respect your opinion. No need for any one to rest anything surely?

The thing is Neil, I know you definitely have more inside knowledge than me, and speak lots of sense. But this constant battering of Blake and Hughes is too much imho. I actually think they have done a good job and have got better as the years have progressed.

Can’t help but feel that today highlights the fact that we need another target man option up front too. Moore was so pivotal to our game today that if he were to get injured we would potentially be in trouble.
