Gary O'Neil

GON and this team 'can' play some very good football... However, we've only ever really seen it in 'fits and starts'... He has to add some depth and he needs to work out how to get the performances better, for longer periods...

If he can do that then we'll be ok... If we fail to understand how to see out games, we'll be doomed...
 
Much talk of an up-and-coming manager in preference to GoN

I've no idea who these managers are and whether or not we've spoken to anyone other than bielsa, but then again, no-one else has any idea either despite repeated attempts to convince us otherwise and discredit blake and hughes

It’s not our jobs to know who these up and coming managers are though is it. Do you think the only two people that would accept a premier league job with a multi billionaire new owner and project starting are an industry veteran demanding 8m a year and a caretaker with 12 games?

no, I think we've had a good look and not found anyone suitable within our price range
why wouldn't we have done that?

We were prepared to pay Bielsa. That means it’s only really Klopp and Guardiola that are out of our price range.

Unless you are saying we didn’t realise the sort of money he would want before approaching him. Even I don’t think Fake and Hughesless are that stupid.

It’s ok because even some of the fans want it! I got crap on here for saying I didn’t sing his name in case the board thought I wanted to appoint him.

Lo and behold the board have now named the fans singing his name as a reason they gave him the job.

You couldn’t make this up. Anyway like I’ve always said he has bits going for him that I like, wouldn’t have been my choice but equally I’m not devastated and let’s hope he grows quickly and the weight of permanency, the boards clear pursuit of someone better and his short contract doesn’t send the wrong message to him and the players.
