Big Sam

With Man C ,Newcastle and Spurs to come cannot see it making much difference tbh but never know .

At least they will know Big Sam is there !

Allegation against Gracia was he didn’t really seem like the sort to motivate a squad as he was too nice and placid.

Well, 2 of Leeds, Leicester, Florist, and Everton will stay up so I reckon Big Sam has a good a chance as anyone. No doubt a massive 7 figure payout if he manages it ! No wonder he is smiling.
Quoted as being circa £3m for Big Sam if he keeps them up... THREE MILLION for 4 weeks' work...

No doubt he'll still get a wedge if they go down... Absolute win win situation right there folks... Sam is laughing all the way to the Nat West...

The good thing for Leeds fans is that within Big Sams capacity for comprehensive management is the possibility that a few of the lazy b@stards in their squad will get a punch in the gob if they don't conform to the task !

Heard it's a couple hundred thousand if they go down (source veracity unknown). Still not bad, but definitely some incentive to try to pull it off.

If nothing else, at least they're trying something different. Pretty much dead and buried under previous boss, judging by how theyve performed last few games and results. Nothing to lose imo.

They have everything to lose. If Big Sam is genuinely the best roll of the dice available to them for a few million pounds in exchange for a month's work then that is a really damning indictment of the state of football management.

It's a desperate lack of imagination. Similar to Chelsea bringing in Frank.

Well they don't in the context of appointing someone else or keeping that previous guy - who was almost certainly taking the,m down... whats the worse Sam will do - take them down too?

Apparently he's getting paid 500k and with a few mill in bonuses if they survive. I know people are laughing but honestly, in desperate situation, its about as good a move as they can make imo. Someone who's, familiar with the pressure of relegation battles.

The time for a more 'progressive' appointment will be in the summer. No right now imo.

He certainly backs himself:

"In his first press conference as Leeds boss, Allardyce said:
"I might be 68 and look old and antiquated but there's nobody ahead of me in football terms. Not Pep, not Klopp, not Arteta. It's all there with me""

Well- two out of three’s not bad.
