New contract for Iraola

Looks like he takes the cups seriously, will we be able to cope with the stress of the " magic of the cup " : )

and the elephant in the room no one is questioning, what's his teams like from corners and free kicks at both ends? : )

My slight fear is this is a big change to implement with a very tough opening fixture list and feel it may deserve some patience and fans good will.

Just listened to the Solent special on this appointment and the sacking of Gary O’Neil.

Some long time supporters who contacted the programme through texts etc are very unhappy about not given O’Neil another chance and bringing in someone from abroad.

Concern is we are going away from what our club have always been as a close knit community club and also those ex players who are still there behind the scenes who could now lose their jobs as the new manager brings in his own people.

As a long term supporter myself I felt sorry for Gary O’Neil, but now the decision has been made we should look forward to what could be an exciting new era on and off the pitch.

Another thing Kris T mentioned was this is not a Bill Foley appointment, but the new manager was ‘found’ by people like Richard Hughes and the people at AFCB in that line.

Surely not i thought bill was doing all the scouting for players and managers. Was looking forward to all the savings on getting rid of the recruitment team.

Does that mean that Neil and Hughes agreed on something? Hm...but the weather report for Hell just calls for more fire, no snow. Something must be broken, did I forget to update the app?
 
I'll only be impressed if he has the balls to drop our non goalscoring yet seemingly undroppable striker. Having said that he may be the one who finds the key to unlocking Solankes PL goal scoring shyness. We'll see.
