Transfer needs with a month to go

I noticed Aarons was very good positionally and looked good on his 1v1 defending on the weekend. I would disagree that Aarons isn't a good defender.
ok, just my first impressions
(Aarons backed-off a couple of times in the first half and let their forward dribble into the area without a challenge
may have been as much to do with the lack of cover in front of him)

kerkez certainly loves a tackle

Yeah his exceptionally high aggression and bravery attributes on fm indicate he's not shy of getting stuck in... not a soft touch and lightweight full back by any means.

But also looks like an exceptionally gifted footballer too. Pace, workrste, technical ability etc

Pretty much the complete package as far as full backs go. Aarons (and Liveremento...) also ends up in the England squad, once the current batch of right backs start to show their age and go downhill.

If these 2 are a sign of things and signings to come, we could be in for a very exciting future. Zab also develops into a an exceptional cb... and of course Mr Scott...

Perhaps our board do use fm as they are some of the best young players available:)

I thought that Aarons’ one on one defending was exceptionally good, based on that one off showing. He was left completely isolated a couple of times and he did what a good defender should do, he held his attacker up and forced him into a less desirable area of the pitch. When I saw Benrahma running at him one v one I feared the worse, but he handled the situation brilliantly.

Unlike you to fear the worst

I think he (Aarons) played very tentatively and cautiously in the first half and seemed concerned not to make a mistake with a mistimed tackle. There was the one instance around halfway through the first half where a long high ball came at him in acres of space and rather than attempt to control the ball he opted to head it straight back from where it came. He did however grow in confidence as the game went on and I feel he'll be a great RB for us.

I would say that our transfer needs should be concerning signing players that are fit to train and are fit to play.

An ideal world, of course, would agree. But if it means signing a better player that we really want, that we believe would serve us better over the course of the season, years to come, would rather we signed the player that is currently out for a few weeks, than vice versa/make concessions.

A very valid and fair point. However, we need players that are fit to play in the 'here and now' in view of the fact that we have two very difficult games in the form of Liverpool and Spurs.

My thoughts exactly. Which is why the comment about him being bad at defending baffled me. Weird how people see football in different ways.

So why are you always repeating yourself about our injury list when you're fully aware there isn't much we can do about it? Genuine question.
There is something we can do i.e. look for a couple of short term loans to plug the gap. We do not want to drop too many points during the early part of the season and find ourselves rooted in the bottom three because of injuries.

Kindest regards

Do we have the capability to do that with the 25 man squad for the sake of a couple of games?

Genuine question

I don't see why not uless there are financial or feasabilty reasons. Scott will be out for more than a couple of games and so will Tavernier and Cook. Plus it will take even further time for these players to get up to match fitness.
