Brighton v AFC Bournemouth - Sunday 2 pm

Load of whingers on here more like.

Which ones aren't up to it in your opinion?

I know Traore is one. Who else fo you think?
I don’t think Outtara is intelligent enough for this league, Kluivert is pretty but pretty ineffective with end product, Christie is a number ten that can’t score or assist, Semenyo raw, Senessi can’t play a high line at all, Kerkez is raw talent but shouldn’t be playing every week but has to, Zab all at sea against decent opposition and can’t track runners….

He’s not got options at left back, or centre forward really (Moore is not up to it and won’t work in this style of play.) He also doesn’t really have an experienced centre back option. There were key positions/profiles that were needed and were neglected. Instead we prioritised wingers when we already had plenty.
It's beginning to look like it might've been worth spending a few million on a goalkeeper rather than another winger..

The lack of left back cover is a bit odd. I guess our cover for that position is Kelly even though Ireola wants to play Kelly at centre back. Do you think Semenyo could be a decent centre forward if need be. I think he'd be more effective that Moore.

Neto has been pretty inconsistent this season. Earned us a point v Chelsea and contributed to losing us 3 today. I thought last season he was much more commanding when coming for crosses eve. If he just punched the ball away. His confidence seems lacking in similar situations and he seems indecisive/isn't communicating as well. It's his area, he needs to own it.

I’ve never been a fan of a keeper as captain. You need someone who can be in the referees ear, virtually impossible for a keeper.

Left back cover (proper cover...) is a clear area that needs to be improved imo. Probably quite difficult getting in suitable quality along with all the rest of the signings (and not enough significant income from player sales...), what with ffp and our joke of a stadium at this level.

Absolutely needs to be addressed thoughimo. You need specialist cover for each position at any professional level, especially in the PL or you risk being left woefully exposed. Kelly isn't a fullback, at least not suited to modern game. Even if he is. That leaves just 3 cb's if Kerkez picks up a knock which rules him out for a month or two... which really isn;t inconceivable when you look at amount of knocks, niggles, injuries that are picked up in the modern game.

All ifs buts and maybes but imo, no PL club should be running the gauntlet and hoping like this. It really isn;t that outrageous a prospect for a left back and cb to be injured athe same time.

Same goes for up front. Obviously club were looking to address it, but appears Moore not wanting to go to Millwall spoilt the plans to take care of that.

Agree about Outtara, agree about Senesi, agree Christie and Billing should swap places, but I think you're very harsh on Kluivert, he made all the difference last week and looked good again today.

Yes but nothing ever comes of it (yet). He comes inside all the time and runs into congestion. Doesn’t seem to ever shoot. Also knocked off ball easily.

The manager needs to get the system right, he has all the attacking options any manager would require with the exception of another out-and-out centre forward.

The first half today we more than matched Brighton in the second half we didn't. The OG was one of those things should Neto cone for it , perhaps not his natural game, but a collective error.

Similarly in the second half various personal mistakes let the cause down. In the Premier League any team cannot afford to make mistakes so tight are the margins but they and we are human after all.

Like the Chelsea game there were some encouraging signs but can we afford the time to learn on the job such are the fine margins.

As an aside if GON had been the manager today the noise would be deafening.
