Please note, supporters are not permitted to bring umbrellas into the stadium.

This is so very disappointing. I was on the verge of emailing Jim with my money- making idea, personalised AFCB umbrellas for £110 each to include as much as you can drink over 8 minutes…

Just imagine, yiu can take in umbrellas, as long as they're the 'official' afcb ones sold in the ckub shop...

Now I’m not allowed to bring in my hot drink flask I have had two thoughts.
Firstly am I going to throw my expensive flask at somebody and secondly and will the club start offering coffee with oat and soya milk. Somehow I think not. I would assume that the club has done a risk assessment which would be interesting to see.
The chance of seeing it will be a maximum of zero I expect.

Total predictable over reaction by the club over the umbrella issue. Regardless of any containers .

Only our club with its age of supporters could have this thread

I think you're well and truely 'Bill and Jim' job pissed CB.

As posted above nearly every other club bar Chelsea allows small brollies.

Perhaps you can explain to us in intrinsic detail what you think our ageing support ( your words basically) plan to do with a 12 inch folded up blunt ended brolly that wholly effects your match day experience or that of anyone in your immediate vicinity ? Are they going to swarm the away end and take 'em all on or batter a steward per chance ?

Likewise, flasks are now banned not because the club think Maurice will launch one from row N but because Jim wants Maurice to queue up for ten minutes and buy his hot drink from the club, boost his coffers so he can report back to Bill with the ££££££££.. seriously try telling Britney behind the counter you want a normal coffee and watch her face screw up and go ' what...you mean an Americano errr'

Hear, Hear, Red House. First time in about 20 years we can't take our half-time drink in. 2 cups of green teas in flasks. Much as we love the club, want it to succeed and spend as much as we can afford there. I'm not leaving the Good Lady alone, whilst I queue for 10 minutes of the 15, paying over £5-00 for 2 cups of hot water with 1 teabag in each.

I'm as pro the club as anyone but there's a bit of a whiff on the wind of change blowing through the club. Are there any stats to back up the Brolly ban or No-Flask zone?
