AFC Bournemouth v Burnley

Surely the Var offside can be automated, its simple technology. 5 mins to come up with that and still not sure if it's the right decision.
That said think we deserve one to go our way.
PL clubs didn’t want it but suspect they will now .

Just as well they noticed the error of if was one .

At last our team get our first win and expect the players and especially our manager are smiling tonight.

Two good goals from our side won the game for AFCB today.

Individual break by Semenyo moving over to the left and then putting the ball in the far corner of the net giving the Burnley keeper no chance.

The winning goal was brilliantly taken by Billing seeing the keeper out of his goal and he placed the ball perfectly over the keeper from well out, keeper could only get a touch as he was back peddling but couldn’t stop the ball settling in the back of the net.

Earlier in the game Burnley took the lead from a well taken volley by the number 3 which Radu I don’t think saw through a crowd of players.

Talking of our keeper on the afternoon thought he did well.

Then when I heard the number 9 of Burnley coming on I feared the worst, he has such a good record of scoring against us and at Dean Court.

He did score, but we had a very long VAR interval why they decided if it was off side or not, luckily for us this time he didn’t have a goal at Dean Court as VAR ruled against his goal.

So the large majority of the 11,152 crowd went home happy for once and our manager has seen his team move out of the relegation zone.

Watch the goals again and for once we can say yes we WON!

A lot of good things to build on from today. Let's build on them.

On the disallowed goal, Efron on the EPL commentary said it looked offside in real time. He was called offside in real time. On the first camera angle I saw, his head, shoulder, and chest all looked offside to me. Then they drew a line from his knee on a different camera. I said "What about his head?!" So finally they got it right and drew it from his head. Not a convincing case that VAR is worth the trouble.
Is it head, nose, foot, shoulder, hand or knee that is measured? I genuinely don't know...

GET IN CHEZZEEEEEEERS

Great to get the win first and foremost

An honest assessment

Radu great save at the end but glued to his line other than that

Aarons swashbuckling display of attacking impetus. Should be told to get forward at every chance

Kelly got skinned constantly in the first half but got to grips in the second and dominated his marker

Mepham dependable and solid as he always is. Why has he not played more?

Zabarnyi I’m sorry but he just isn’t ready. Shaky as anything in absolutely everything he does. Get him out the team pls

Tav looks a bit uncomfortable on the left but did a job

Semenyo should be first name on team sheet. Makes things happen whenever in the box

Scott was bloody magnificent. Such class on the ball and delivery was superb

Billing was poor but produced when it mattered

Christie ran around more than I’ve ever seen anyone run around but achieved next to nothing for it. I don’t get why he plays

Solanke contained pretty comfortably by them

Dango why?

Rothwell quiet

Kerkez okay

Iraola still find it difficult to see how he takes us forward

Both Semenyo and Tav are a lot more comfortable playing inverted. He has them both coming infield anyway when they press so why not just have them on their preferred sides?

Why play Zabarnyi at the left and not Mepham, Zabarnyi looks shaky in his own position let alone an unfamiliar one!

What is his obsession with Dango and his reluctance to play Semenyo?

Still not convinced, sorry to be that guy
Agree... It's not happening for Dango. Maybe Andoni thought he would be stronger defensively than Brooks or Kluivert if he switched Tav to the right. I also don't see why you wouldn't have inverted wingers unless you wanted to provide crosses old fashioned style to a player who would thrive off them like Moore, but not Solanke.

Away from the game itself, today I arrived around the usual time around 25/30 minutes before kickoff and was surprised there was no queue.

Had the usual search and straight into the ground.

Semenyo played well but faded.

It was an unusual line up, perhaps influenced by Grandpa Bill being in the crowd.

If Semenyo doesn't start next game, it would be questionable.

Hey up. New Forest Gump has latched on to a bloke who went to prison for continually kicking an unconscious student in the head as back up for his Brexit logic.

And to clarify, suggesting clubs should go for British managers (someone needs to tell Man City, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool, Villa and Brighton quick before their season is ruined) is not xenophobic, it’s just limited.

Calling someone a Spanish waiter, unless they are bringing you Serrano with shaved manchego and a cold Fino…. Is.
