Dango Ouattara

Oh FFS can ND and SDD just find a thread of their own and not continue to drag down another thread.

We've just won again, we are in the best form ever in the PL and yet we have this ina e drivel to trawl past again. Its as repetitive and annoying ad R&Rs post.

Can we be haply for the team and just debate the thread topic.

The topic is that Outtara is a very good signing. There's an FA cup thread where Brian is talking about himself if you prefer.

I'm not saying I think they agree with me because I'm some sort of football expert, far from it, it's just obvious that the owners will be pleased with the outcomes of the decisions of Hughes and Blake. They got Demin's club into a position where he could sell and recoup most of his investment and they have kept Foley's club in the division against the odds and then recommended a managerial change that has apparently taken them to the next level, whilst assembling a brilliant squad. You reckon they think Hughes is a 'rank amateur'? I can't see why on earth they would think that.
I just don’t know why you have to speculate on what others would think to validate your points. Personally I think Foley is thinking this bloke spent 75m we are unlikely to recoup on Traore. Adam’s and Outtara and signing Scott as well while injured meant 100m was not effective until Xmas.

Finding Iraola wasn’t rocket science I’d been talking about him for years and his own supposed best mate who everyone thinks he is joining at Newcastle (he won’t) went to watch him train his team.

I’d imagine Foley will be thinking time to get a professional in. Difference between me and you Del is I don’t have to stack up my opinions by claiming others share them to get validity.

I'm not claiming I know their opinions I'm speculating on their opinions just like you are. I also think your argument becomes weaker by the day as player after player that you initially wrote off shows what they can do.

We are on target to finish as highly as Foley said he wanted us to so I doubt he's too bothered about the injuries. I doubt he's bothered about overpaying for Dango weeks after he invested in Lorient and had to find a way of injecting funds into them in a way that got their sceptical supporters on board. Unless Adams' injury is career threatening he will be worth a lot more than £25m

if we sold all our recent signings in Jan what do you think we would get for each one honestly?
Aaron's
zebs
senesi
Dango
kluivert
kerkez
Adams
scott
traore
semenyo
tavs
rothwell
as overall do you think we would break even or make a profit?

Is it a full moon tonight? Neil/Del & usual suspects on this thread, Brian about to go into meltdown on another. You wouldn't have known we were on our best ever run of results.

What's the problem? Would you rather people didn't discuss things on here?

Traore and Dango are the only two who would struggle to make what we paid imo. As stated above though his fee needs an asterisk.

Adams obviously depends on his recovery.

Thats a heck of a scouting report. Have you given your CV in to the club?
That’s a moment in time Druss. Anyone can go back and use the search engine to find out what people said in a moment in time. It’s just a pointless activity. To give you an example I just picked the first name on that list (Sinisterra) and then put your name in mate and pressed search and got the following two postsIMG_2528.jpegIMG_2529.jpeg

Now, I’d just read this as you in a moment in time but applying your logic back to you… you might need to defend to the whole board why you felt it necessary to criticise one of our new signings while he was clearly finding his feet blah blah…. I’m not sure why you should be (lol) ‘allowed to get away with this’

And that’s just one player who has hardly played you have a field day on others particularly Kelly. Hypocrisy buddy, total hypocrisy.

It'd be nice if you did debate the point in question not derail it again with yet another personal attack of ND and his previous posts.

There is an ongoing debate about our recruitment team and if they are any good. There is always an ongoing debate about recruitment. Dango has become a focus of those people who criticise the recruitment team and Richard Hughes in particular and so it is only natural for this thread to focus on that after he's had a MOM performance.

It's not a personal attack on Neil, it's a discussion about whether his long standing criticism of Hughes is warranted.

You honestly can't see the difference in your posts about Hughes and these one off critiques of a player after a sh*t performance? Honestly?

Agree! I either reply or leave. Reply and I get accused of boring everyone. Rock and a hard place.

It would also be nice if SDD turned his guns on people like New Forest Gump and his outrageous commments on Iraola but he won’t as that’s one of the three people that are guaranteed to like all his personal attacks and it doesn’t fit his personal agenda.

No because I don’t rate Hughes. How many times! And it wasn’t a one off, Druss has a few players he can’t stand but doesn’t judge himself by the standards he judges others which was what i was pointing out

Yeah and he gets loads of grief for his irrational views on Kelly etc. from me and others.

People say controversial things they get sh*t for it. I've had rows with most people including that New Forest Cherry.

I actually thought he’d do pretty well at LB when I first saw him named there. Mainly because he’s always been pretty good at helping out defensively, is very strong and athletic (and quick) and has a hell of a leap on him. It was an “admirable” performance on Saturday, but yesterday he was genuinely very good and was probably MOM?

I wonder if his performances might sway the board into being more open to selling Kelly in January now? As much as I like Kelly, he’s probably off, so would be good to get some money in.
cant recall which game it was - one of his early games , maybe Liverpool - and the number of headed defensive clearances he made was remarkable

I think AI’s style of play does demand flexibility in position. Same true of GON when he surprisingly made Adam smith a central defender to mark James Maddison

I wouldn’t write off traore just yet. Taken longer than others to settle here but seen glimpses of a player that would be ideal for the AI press. Overpaid for where he was in his career but rarely get good value in January. Same for Dango
