Enes Unal

A little anecdote from the In Conversation With I attended at BU. In explaining why he felt so at home now in Bournemouth, Christie told us- well, I've got my wee dog here now. Oh...and I've got the child here too. " Lovely sense of priorities from a great player.
I spoke ti him at a petrol station just after he signed. Very quietly spoken.

So he came on in the second half for around 38 minutes, which included injury time.

Those who saw him today, what were your first impressions?

Looked busy, put himself about, but not really much to go on given we were chasing the game and piling strikers on. I would be quite interested to see him play as the main striker with Antoine supporting

I thought he contributed to pushing Fulham back. He made his presence felt.

Had a play that is him in a nutshell.

High ball in the edge of the box, great use of the body to win the position, great touch to bring the ball down, quick turn and dangerous shot that was deflected to get a corner kick.

He’s strong, has good technique and knows where the goal is.

Feels like Iraola is going to use him a lot and I think he’s going to have an impact very soon.

Quality striker.

He was puffing hard quite early on in proceedings, so is quite some way off being match fit.

Didn't have many opportunities, but did manage to fashion a couple of half chances.

When fully fit, should be a great player hopefully.

Next season is when we will likely see the best of him.

can understand bringing him on as we were chasing the game but not sure he knew what role he was playing, got in dom's way a couple of times

decent first touch, didn't appear to have too much pace

early days, obviously

Looks like a very good target man with great technical ability. The Fulham centre backs were a pair of absolute beasts but the ball was sticking when we played it into him. One lovely turn to get a shot away too. Did not appear to have out and out pace but was also being deployed a bit deeper so didn’t really get the chance to display that by running the channels etc. Would like to see what he looks like when played as the out and out striker, we play very direct so I think he could be a good fit if he can be mobile enough.
