Non: Roy Hodgson

Roy was going to jack it in anyway wasn't he...at the end of season ?
He won't give a sh*t now if they sack him....he will be more concerned about getting his health back on track.
I really like Roy..my kind of bloke....speaks his mind.....doesn't suffer fools in the Media... no - mark warts with cameras and mics..those jerks....know what I mean.
Reckon he'd be a great Pundit

Exactly. He was planning to retire at the end of the season anyway and CP are getting twitchy and weighing up their options.

Relieve him of his duties, thank him for his efforts, get his planned replacement in and find a nice position for him within the club to show their gratitude for his contribution.

Here’s hoping that Roy recovers completely soon and that Palace deal with his unfortunate illness in the right way.

This isn't the first health scare he's had in the last 12 months.. I doubt Roy will ever 'retire' as such, but I guess his body is telling him to slow down a bit.

Those fickle Palace supporters, though. After everything Roy's done for Palace, including last season where he came back in and revived their form, you'd have thought they would show a bit more respect... But, fickle is the norm amongst supporters I think.

People may disagree with me but I don't think he is in hospital.

I believe this is a clever PR stunt from his management team with them knowing that Crystal Palace have a replacement ready to replace him. It will come out in the press that the so called Doctors will tell him to rest and he will step down as manager of crystal palace on health grounds allowing for the new guy to come in. This way its more mutual rather than a sacking.

Love a good conspiracy theory.

As soon as Stannah have finished installing the stair lift Palace are moving him upstairs ( only joking) : )

Get well soon Roy and think about what's best for you and your loved ones : )

Talksport said he was up and walking about OK - was last night too apparently.

Good news. But like they said - this move should have happened in the summer, as the german guy was a free agent then.

You sound just like my wife. Are you my wife?

Steve Cooper was mentioned to be taking over from Roy Hodgson and the end of the season a few weeks back.

If fit and well enough, It would be good for Roy to be able to see out the season and bow out with his club still in the Premier League.

I've heard (from people at the club), it's going to be Elvis Presley & Princess Diana taking over.

Am occasionally partial to the odd conspiracy theory myself, but in this case, I think Roy's health hasn't been great for a while, so I think he probably has been in hospital. If they need an excuse, they've got the perfect one anyway: 'Roy has only been here until a suitable replacement becomes available.'

CP bought him in last season because they panicked. In the summer they should’ve looked more towards the future, but stayed with someone they are comfortable with.

I don’t wish ill health on anyone, but the guy is a football dinosaur.

To be fair after his game with us he laid down the law stating that the fans need to manage their expectations and they need to give their heads a wobble if they think their next few games were going to be easy. He pretty much predicted the meltdown and was proven right.
