Can’t comment on other clubs Rob really, some like Palace have recruited well but not in the manager dept. Others have championship squads but haven’t spent 200m like us.

most of the fans I speak with don't agree with you but each to there own, what people have to remember is that 20 mill buys you generally average players, in AI system we need 2 or 3 attackers in the 9 role, 4-6 wingers which we have, 2-3 in the 10 role which we have, 2 in the 8 and 2 In the 6 which we have ( adams injured though ) defence wise we have 3 right backs (2 if you exclude fredericks which to be fair we should) 2 left backs and 4 central defenders pretty well balanced squad, but we had to buy depth in the last few windows which we have, sometimes this season our bench has looked the strongest it ever has. all the players we signed have faults but that's how we get them we buy them thinking the manager can improve them if we were buying PL ready then we would be looking at 50 mill plus per player and even with that we're not guaranteed a good buy, there is the occasional cheap gem out there but that is rare if it wasn't then the transfer fees wouldn't be high at all.
Sinisterra got five goals in less than half a season for Leeds. Tavernier got five goals and five assists in half a season under O’Neil. Billing got seven goals last season under O’Neil. I’m really not sure how you have come to the conclusion that the manager doesn’t have the tools at his disposal to be successful, he clearly does. The players I’ve just mentioned have all proven that they can perform consistently at this level and produce goals and assists, Iraola is just not getting the best out of them. The recruitment hasn’t been as bad as you are making out.

I do not accept this. We fielded four or five attack-minded Premier League players. Any one of them should have been able to step up in these circumstances.
