Non - Labour Party

A 39% turnout is pathetic.
Sounds like people were voting on something happening abroad, was there any mention of the Ukraine war or has that got boring now ?

Why would there be? Putin isn't on the ballot so why would Ukraine impact a UK vote? Palestine does because a lot of people think the government should be doing something differently on that issue.

65%.
Just shows the British public doesn't really care about politics. Coronation Street and reality TV is more important.
We get low turnouts because under our pathetic FPTP voting system our vote is worthless unless you’re in one of the handful of marginal seats. I live in a safe Tory constituency where my vote counts for nothing. That might change this year as most Tories will struggle to hang on to their seats if we can get a Labour/Lib Dem agreement to let tactical voting work.

Funnily enough that wasn't far off the turnout in the previous two general elections. By-elections are usually either really high or really low turnout. It was a Labour seat and there was no Labour candidate. They will get a chance to vote in an actual meaningful election later in the when the turnout will be 60%+.

How many innocents should be killed due to this in your opinion? Is 30,000 enough or do they go for 50,000?
You really do excel yourself sometimes. Why does it have to be a number crunching exercise? Any sane human being will look at what is happening at the moment and will be horrified. My point to Stanthevan was that he and his Hamas supporting mates seem to conveniently forget what caused this particular round of violence and grief in this area.

The Middle East is a total clusterf@ck. Most Nations trying to mediate over many years agree that a two-state solution seems to be the only potential way of getting to some sort of peace. What that might look like I have no idea. All the while you have Israel illegally grabbing more land and with a current PM who has no interest in the two-state discussion. On the 'other side' you have Hamas and Hezbollah who will never accept Israel as a Nation. The whole situation is also continually getting stoked up by Iran who also want to see Israel wiped off the map.

Meanwhile, men, women and children are still being regularly killed just because they live in Ukraine. The world is not a good place at the moment. I'm sure you'll find a reason to start another argument about it.

I don’t have any mates who support Hamas. You need to be very careful about making libellous accusations. Now, how do you feel about Israel slaughtering 30,000 innocent women and children?

Hasn't really answered the question.

You might struggle with libel but it's a decent way of trying to shut someone up who disagrees with you I guess.
I’m not sure that making up outrageous fúcking lies is a good way to shut me up. The bloke clearly hasn’t read any of my numerous posts condemning Hamas and makes up complete bollox to justify his support for Israel. I’ve saved the post for posterity. You never know when it might come in handy.

Bloody hell Stanley, you've jumped the gun x2.

He's said many many times how atrocious he thinks hamas were for what they did last year. Any sane human as you put it can see how appalling those atrocities were. That doesn't stop people from being equally or even more appalled by what Israel has done since.

Unfortunately your second paragraph is spot on. Absolutely shitshow that can't be solved.
