AFC Bournemouth v Luton Town - Wednesday 7.30 pm

Who are you talking to when you say things like this? Do you think you are addressing the players and informing them of something they don't know? If you're talking to supporters what is the point of saying this?

Style used by several people on here.

As if they know better than highly paid professionals who've been involved with the game fir decades at highest professional level.

So patronising, but laughable they think tgey know better and are offering some kind of sage like insight.

R&R clearly does it for a reaction and is a troll. No way someone woukd write and believe all this stuff.

@Reality and Realism And no, I won't ignore your posts or block you. Although I do tend to skim over most of them as they're clearly utter b0ll0cks abd looking for a reaction.

No point taking issue/debating with any of his points as its playing into his hands and I can say with 99% certainty he doesn't believe what he writes on here.

People may as well go and argue with a wall.

How the hell would I know why they haven't updated it, I don't work for the club. I did show you the news item on the club website that confirmed the postponement. Do some work for yourself, its not that difficult to work out the game is postponed.
On 28th Feb COWS carried a news item that the Wolves away fixture would have to be re-arranged in light of Wolves progressing to the next round of the FA Cup. Short of Mike Botto running around the field naked with a sandwich board advertising the fact before the next home game, I’m not sure what else the club could do to tell supporters it’s no longer on 16th.

I bid you all good evening.

More effective to run around outside as they’ll be more people queueing to be searched than actually inside the ground.

I may have missed it but no mention by the club of the iniative by the Trust involving Talking Cherries and The Heart Club .Yet today at the Heart Club they have a slide with the AFCB badge detailing what is being done to support the fixture because of the circumstances surrounding the original fixture.
I have been organising it for Heart Club with AFCB for a while now and have nothing but praise for all concerned - the club, the Trust and Talking Cherries - they are just outstanding people.

I will start a new thread and explain all when the club go public with it - hopefully tomorrow morning. They have encouraged us to get going with our own publicity (hence the Trust press release and Talking Cherries' tweet) and I've contacted all the obvious people today.

The club are simply managing the message within their own match and news cycles.

Genuine question.

Why does anyone bother to respond to the fabulist* also known as Stephen/SMHinto/Reality and Realism?

I unerstand that people want to show them up as a fool, liar, fantacist and, dare I borrow the epithet, balloon head. I also get the desire to expose and rectify exaggerations and errors. Further, there is a wish to counter the negative, ill-informed bullshít that is posted on every match thread. Like many, I wonder if they are even a Bournemouth supporter.

For whatever reason, the person obviously thrives on the attentention they get even when people show them up in a bad light because of the poster's inventions, lack of knowledge and ridiculous assumptions. Whatever is posted in reply does not deter them.

However, why not just read the posts, have a little chuckle, mutter the word, 'wänker' and then leave it? This person's nonsense is clogging up too many threads with irrelevant and repetitive stuff.

In short, "don't feed the troll."

*Concise OED defines as: "a liar, especially a person who invents elaborate, dishonest stories."
Absolutely spot on.

I'd say that was true of Brian also. Not sure he really believes what he posts.

So you have longer to queue and be searched...

How about "Supporters urge the club to get a move on on matchdays..."

The Ted Mac searching on saturday was ridiculous and intrusive, more so than usual.

There was a change of tact this time. The head 'security guy' took it upon himself to walk up and down the queue threatening that if we didn't queue in three lines he would 'cut it' - no idea what he meant.

He seemed to be blaming the queue for the fact that few people were going through the turnstiles, instead of looking at the three muppets hell bent on finding something under someones hat who were actually the cause of the massive slow moving queue.

I wonder if @Jim Frevola has any idea that the amateurs preventing timely spectator entry to the ground must be costing the club a fortune in food and drink sales inside.

Maybe they should combine the search with the ‘men’s health’ initiatives , and get the stewards to stick a finger up our @rses to save time?

I don't post a ton on here and just check in from time to time so I'm not going to get involved in the R&R part of the debate... but his post you quoted seems fairly normal for a message board about a sports club to me. Robber Button commented on Luton's aerial and set piece abilities on page one and Matt Stevenson posted analytics/positioning graphics... they also know the players aren't reading and also the supporters can't really do anything with the information, but both added to the discussion.

What's the point of posting in a message board topic about a specific match at all if you can't point out the mentality you expect from the opponent?

SDD loves to argue, he even has a job that allows him to argue.

If you don't attend the games you can't comment apparently.

God knows how studio pundits have jobs discussing the beautiful game, every EPL game.

Presumably, you are another mis-guided individual who believes what I have stated is completly and utterly untrue. In which case you believe that Luton will not raise their game against us and play for Tom Lockyer who will be sitting with his family in the main stand. Presumably, you also believe that their manager will not be using the Lockyer incident to motivate his players during his pre-match team talk. So, with this regard I have clearly got things all wrong.

No disrespect to Tom Lockyer, but surely Lutons manager wouldn't have waited until this game to use the unfortunate incident that happened to Tom to motivate his squad?

Surely he would have done that the moment it happened?

I expect a really tough game against Luton, and wouldn't be surprised if they gave us one of the toughest games of the season.

You do however predict the same outcome for almost every game we play.

It's almost sickening that you're using Tom Lockyer as a yardstick to back up your negativity.

You really do need a holiday, as clearly AFCB brings absolutely no joy to your life.

Why do you even bother, if all you see is doom and gloom?
