Bill Foley

It was a call back to a specific melt down a life time supporter had during half time on Wed. Apparently the reason we were 0-3 down was because JCLs wanted us playing like Man City and this is the result of that. Everyone caught the flak including Foley.

I haven’t read these pages on the match day thread, is it worth a revisit?!

It's American; cask beer is scarce there so it'll almost certainly be kegged. Also, a stout so unlikely to fade in flavour like an American-style IPA would so I'd say it would travel.

The problem is more the margins for the pubs with the import costs. I could see it being a couple of quid more than everything else. Tins at the club would be the best chance to make it viable.

Alternatively, just partner with one of the many traditional and/or craft breweries locally. Vibrant Forest makes amazing beer and has expanded so might appreciate the partnership and Six Penny has a history of partnering with Jack FM. The less said about Piddle the better.

While I'm on the topic of "craft beer" I've never understood how people who in the main know their beer incredibly well, don't seem to understand seasonality. I'm unlikely to fancy a milk stout in April unless it's snowing.
"I'm unlikely to fancy a milk stout in April unless it's snowing." Go on then - I'll show my ignorance and bite. Why is that?

Stouts are for colder weather. You want a citrussy IPA when it's warm and the sun's shining.
On the subject of local breweries, they don't get more local than Boscombe Brewery which is based in Gloucester Road and is run by a compatriot of Bill's who makes some amazing NE IPAs as that's where he learnt his brewing trade being a Bostonian. Let's get some Boscombe Brewery beers in the new stadium- they certainly won't have far to travel!

As if these boutique beers and ales aren't boutique enough, now you can apparently only enjoy them at certain times of the year.

What a load of snobbery and tosh.

Another good for a laugh is to watch the replay and compare the level of AFCB support in the first half with the second half .

Thanks for the explanation albeit I think it's down to personal preference. I used to enjoy a Guinness any time of the year when I was younger but now an old fart I love IPAs. There's lots of increasingly popular micro-breweries here (USA) who produce an excellent product. That's my tipple now when going into a bar.

Only if you want to see anger, despair, blame at about 8.30 pm dissolve into joy, elation and celebration by 9.30 pm. Oh and the usual R&R making his usual doom and gloom stuff.
To be fair, those same emotions would have been felt at the ground during the game ,but people at the ground presumably dont post on here when at the ground on matchday.

There was a very very audible boo from the home fans at HT.

Of course, it wasn't any of those booing in the stands who post on here I assume after the 90 minutes?

The boos at HT were an exact match to the despair posted on here at the time.

But of course those at the ground can smugly claim differently, as there is no record of it, and they knew we would win the game.

Sure!!!

Bill needs to act fast and get us this new 22k stadium built before he pops his clogs. I'm tired of waiting and looking at our small stadium with pink bleached looking seats, hopefully he acts fast and makes us rightfully bigger than Brentford again.
Think he's only going for 18500.

I was absolutely certain we would win while watching from the North Stand...............................................;) Of course the reaction was similar at the ground and judging by the number staring into their phones these days while at the game I reckon a few were on here.

Not at all. Its nothing to do with boutique beers. The tradition in UK going back over hundreds of years was for dark stronger beers in the winter. There are a number of beer festivals in the UK in the winter that specialise in winter beers and many brewers that only brew such beers at that time. Germany and Belgium have similar traditions.
Of course there is nothing wrong with drinking them at any time of the year, I have no problem doing that at all
