We are certainly going to need to sell. The amount of incomings which has cost a fee in comparison to outgoings with a sale price worth registering is quite phenomenal.

The only sales since August 2021 that would have added something to the books would be Pearson and Siriki and that’s only a couple of million odd.

In regards to upcoming outgoings - Could be wrong but Lowe, Marcondes, Kilkenny -out of contract I believe so no fee there.

Rothwell - Sell and he’s a profit as a free transfer himself. But can’t see it being mouthwatering amounts of money. Moore will be worth a couple of million as well.

So the real income from transfers will be Traore, Kerez, Billing, Solanke. As it seems inevitable that they will go for varying reasons.
There’s a lot of talk on here of Kerkez moving on in the summer.

Where did this come from?

... Dom's fee will be determined by the number of goals he bags in the remaining games. I'd be surprised if we accepted less than £60m. Think we will need to bring in circa £100m this summer to be able to recruit what we really need...

Agree with this.

There’s a number of players that we need to cash in on this summer, Billing and Traore being a priority IMO.

All of the Championship loanees as well, mainly Rothwell, Brooks and Moore.

That’s maybe around £50-55M?

There’s no need to cash in on Brooks, I’m sure there’s a place for him in the squad.

With the rest, I think your estimate could be very ambitious.

I would love hun to stay but it be as a squad player, though with a good pre-season behind him there's no reason he shouldn't be pushing for a starting spot.

Personally, I’d rather cash in on him, it “feels” like something isn’t quite right there. He doesn’t really fit within the set up and if we can cash in on others over Solanke, I’d do that.
Maybe just a fitness level issue with the new way we play. I think we sometimes forget what he's gone through only a year or so ago. Think AI knows what he's capable of as he gets bums off seats when on the ball and just needs him to improve fitness, hence going out on loan.

I was calculating Traore 20, Billing 15 and around 15-20 for the 3 Championship loanees.

I know that would be very optimistic in Spain but thought it was reasonable in the UK?

I was referring to Billing not Brooks.

Unless Napoli take Traore, I can’t see us getting £20m for him now, Billing’s stock is low as well so closer to £10m. Rothwell and Moore combined is well short of £10m.

Think billing will still command 15 to 20 mill... given he has delivered relatively recently at this level in 10 role, and is dropped slightly out of favour due to not suiting new managers style so much, ratger than going downhill as a player. Last year he was likely worth 25 mill.

Who knows.

Does he qualify as home grown? Have I overlooked that? That of course would bump his value domestically.

Otherwise I don’t think as a 10, a return of 12 goals and 4 assists across 5 Premier League campaigns would justify £25million.

7 goals last season though. Good return in a side generally considered strong favourites for relegation... imo. Plus 10 goals and assists season before in 2nd tier.

There rumours of 25 mill offers last Jan. Albeit rumours. Maybe 20 realistic then, but don't think he'd have gone for any less, given prolonged good form and market rates.

And yes, he is classed as HG.

Isn't the point that we need someone to actually want to sign them?

If someone has £20M burning a hole in their pocket and a suitable vacancy they could do worse than Billing or Brooks but where are those suitors?

The difference between Billing being £5M player or a £30M one is driven by demand not necessarily his quality.

Also, while I'm not adverse to selling where sensible I don't get where this idea we need to be panic selling half the squad is coming from.

Equally, all the sides interested in signing Billing would be playing the same PSR game as we may well be required to do, which is also surely going to drive prices in the transfer market down.

Has anyone actually made an offer for Billing in recent transfer window?

He signed a new four-year contract back in August, so he seems happy to stay and our club want him to stay.

The market is so difficult to predict all of a sudden, especially for clubs outside the top six. Billing can play anywhere in the middle and has shown that on his day he's definitely a PL level player. He'll be 28 in the summer so there's not a lot of resale potential there for someone buying him. £15m - £20m would be my guess but as you say it needs someone to want him. You'd think a promoted club would fancy him but I doubt one of those would pay more than £15m if that.
