Bill Foley

The YouTube article has a much bigger focus upon his US assets, so he may be thinking less so about AFCB fans for this piece. I wouldn't be surprised if he looks to pick up a couple of wineries / vineyards, and hotels, in the South of England though, as apparently the French are buying up land in Kent and Sussex because of the chalk soil and (sadly) with climate change, these regions may be better for wine production than parts of France.

That's a very shallow way of looking at it.

They could for example serve the wine at the club and if that's your thing you might become very familiar with it and the wine trail might be an appealing holiday which also ties in with the hotels in the USA or New Zealand. What if the hotels guaranteed you could watch a stream of every AFCB game? What if there were UK hotels near an away game and you could catch the coach up, stay overnight in the hotel and get picked up from the hotel and taken back down the following day?

It's not just about cross-selling they could use the same organisation to stream sports matches between Bournemouth, Vegas, Lorient, Hibs and Auckland with small teams on the ground sharing a common solution.
I’d rather watch live, with all the stuff that a day with friends at football brings, than watch a stream.

That's a very self-centric view for a generally quite emphatic poster. You know not everyone is in the UK and able to travel to every game.

I've travelled for work meaning I've missed games and picked ones with free WiFi so I could stream on Cherries Player. I would 100% pick one steaming Cherries games regardless of the extra cost if my employer is picking up the tab.

But what he is saying is the truth, at least for me. I would also rather watch live with the day being an event with friends. BUT I am so happy to be able to watch a stream because I can’t travel to every game :D

How is my view any less self centric than yours? I was just giving my opinion on live v streaming. I wasn’t saying don’t live stream.

I think everyone would like to be there in person, but for different reasons, can not.

Some can't pop down the road to watch a game.

Some can't get tickets, who would like to.

Some probably can't afford tickets when they have enough points.

Some don't have enough points but can afford to.

Some probably can't attend because they live 12,000 miles away.

Some probably can afford to attend, but can't be arsed.

For all those who can't attend, a stream is the next best thing.

If you can't be arsed, don't attend, and don't watch the stream.

We would all rather attend, than not.

But for a majority now, given the size of the stadium, attending is now out of the question.

MR Foley, Build the stadium, and they will come.

Out of interest, this is not a loaded or sarcastic question. Especially considering where you live.
Have you managed to get over in recent years?
This presuming I’m correct that you live in New Zealand.

Anyone in the QP last night able to verify this?

It never hurts to do well when the big boss is watching. Bournemouth have a good record when Bill Foley is in town, and the Las Vegas-based owner chose well after flying in for the Cherries’ back-to-back home wins over Everton and Crystal Palace.

And while Foley was mixing with the fans in a local pub, buying drinks and answering questions, his manager Andoni Iraola was sheepishly batting away reporters’ questions about whether his side could make an unfathomable late charge for European qualification.

Not for a long time borisatha.

Last game was West Ham 1 Bournemouth 2

Wilson and Cook after an Arnautovic penalty.

So, some time ago.

Was the least time back in blighty.
Better than me, AFCB 0 Coventry 2, 2013 I think, been back since but no chance of a ticket. Have to make do with half emptying the club shop

I remember that cold, dismal night. Part of the February dip in form, one of five successive defeats. Not that it mattered, we won nine of the last ten.
