Jefferson Lerma

Wow

I can see no point in continuing a conversation if the depth of your football knowledge runs only as far as goals or assists. Perhaps we should get rid of the manager as well as he has only 'subjectively affected results'

As R&R says, i bid you good day.
Herbs, I don't think we had a conversation going, did we?

I'm sorry, it's not you, it's me.

No point entering a debate with someone that is that one-eyed in their hatred of a particular player.
Don't hate Lewis Cook at all.

Just think we can progress massively when he has solid competition or a replacement.

Lerma was a way better player.

Cook takes a lot of our offensive corners and free kicks, yet still registers zero goals and assists.

In case you hadn't realised, you beat the opposition by scoring 1 or more goals than they do.

Cook doesn't offer anything offensively, but has his fair share of calamities that have seen goals scored against us.

Usually 1 or 2 errors every 4 games.

OMFG is Dragon still talking about how many goals Cook has scored?

Every time I bring up the scoring record of some of the greatest defensive midfielders of all time like Busquets or Makelele he goes silent and leaves the conversation.

I guess he doesnt think they were good players either?

Let me post this for the 3rd time to see if you respond this time Dragon..

Makelele scored 2 goals for Chelsea. One of those was a gifted penalty at the end of the season when they picked up the Premier League trophy.

Busquets played almost 150 times for Spain.... scored 2 goals against Belarus and Macedonia.

They not Elite enough?

Which game did Lewis Cook change?

Not subjectively, but on paper, with an assist, or perhaps a goal?
According to this he has 3 assists, so he does impact going forward, which is good for a defensive midfielder

Crazy thing is that I've really not been a huge fan of Cook's for the best part of a decade conceding the odd purple patch but I don't think I'd ever use his goalscoring as evidence.

Right now he's one of the top performing midfielders in the league and his flexibility is enabling some of the craziest attacking football I've seen from us. It's so high performing that I can't imagine it working with anyone else.
