Or of course you can revert to type, dredging old posts up, sniping from the sidelines, or even criticising other posters who get the forum moving.

Take about a dozen poster off this forum and there wouldn't be one.

If the idiots on here who whinge at posts from myself, NewOldCherry and NeilDawson had something to say themselves then surely this would be a better forum?

A very good comment. As anybody with any vision can see, ones opinions must fall in line with forums elite i.e the rosy red tinted spectacle brigade. All comments must super dooper nice and with oodles of positive vibes. Failing to do so will result in the elitists ganging up on you and reporting and twisting every comment you make in a deliberate attempt to get you banned.

You may have observed that only certain people receive bans. Whilst others can get away with anything. Funny old thing that!

Well I'm afraid that's the world of any forum. Debate needs differing opinions to be a debate but alas on here there are posters that believe opinions shouldnt differ from their own and if they do they are automatically wrong. This is what you get when people can hide behind a keyboard. They become all billy big bollox. For the most part the forum is enjoyable but there are a few. I've got them on ignore but I can imagine Slow in the head Derek, Dribbley and cherrycock are still offering nothing to the forum other than snidey comments and anything to create an argument rather than anything constructive . They're tough as old boots behind a keyboard but are as soft as sh1t in reality. They're just stealing someone elses oxygen. Waz is like COVID. I've lost count of which version we're on now yet it's the same old **************** as before. One of those who's never wrong but boring as hell. Rambling posts that as you read them you tend to proof read quicker and quicker just to get to the end and get it over with. There are others on here who i wouldn't piss on to put out if i saw them on fire but generally , on the whole, there are posters on here who I like to read regardless of their opinion
 
It’s like being in my local pub watching football…most are avid fans…some are ridiculous…a few are completely off their rockers…more are under the influence…but the total atmosphere is one of a religious dedication to the sport…and long may it it live on!

You could argue that yes. It’s all reactionary though, they never offer an opinion up front they just snidely comment on anyone they disagree with.

They never start a thread praising or criticising anything (with the exception of Waz or whatever he is calling himself this week, who does start negative poets from time to time..: sometimes in capitals.

So the point is if the people that make the effort stop there wouldn’t be much of a forum I think…

I can set my watch after any comment I make for a reply from Del and that reply being liked by the same five people…. I’d rather read their views that are independent of my post… even if just once or twice a week.

You and I will agree and disagree on players, tactics etc, I might be the first to post and you’ll reply. Does that make you merely reactionary, sniping from the sidelines? Then you post first and I reply and I’m just sniping from the sidelines? I’m confused with how that’s just not a discussion or debate?

I post positive stuff on Christie or negative stuff on Begovic for example and you’ll disagree. You’ll post positive stuff on Billing and negative stuff on *insert name* and I’ll disagree. We’re both having an opinion?

Yes I wouldn’t put you in that camp though. You have a lot of original thoughts and you also show negativity and frustration not just a one eyed view of the club. In my mind you join the debate, open some debates and it is a two way street. That’s more than can be said for a select few on here.

Are you seriously labelling me as reactionary and happy clapping? I have started many threads before criticising different aspects of the club, I don’t think that all is rosey and I will call it out when I feel it isn’t. At the same time I will also voice my opinion when I disagree with you.

This is just a case of you not being able to cope with posters disagreeing with you, because if you genuinely believe I am a purely reactionary poster then you are either very stupid or more likely just pi**ed as a fart again.

But moving past your obvious dislike of me and inability to view my contributions accurately as a result, I do actually agree with your wider point. There are posters on this forum who live just to react to others and do not offer anything original, and they are frustrating to deal with at times. It’s absurd to suggest that I’m one of them though.
