Non - Ivan Toney

I only care what our guys say and do…never really like Toney or Frank but they are another teams problem!
However I do think Southgate is useless and blinded by his own sense of greatness

you preferred the honesty of Fraser? The one where he refused to play for 9 games and then came out and said ‘I could have kept them up’.

Each to their own

Yeah it's makes a nice change from the usual boring crap they come out with and gives us a convenient pantomime villain to sing silly songs about.

Can’t agree with you on this one.

It’s about respecting the club that are paying your wages and the fans that worship you and sing your name. Brentford took Toney from league one and gave him the platform to get to where he is now, he’s obviously repaid them many times over with his goals but they deserve his respect for what they’ve done for him.

We all know he’d want a move to a big club if the interest was there, as would any player for Brentford, Bournemouth, Palace, Forest, Fulham etc. He doesn’t need to be saying that in public. It’s not a matter of what he wants it’s a matter of conduct and integrity.

We all know that Solanke is highly likely to be departing in the Summer and I have no issue with that (as long as the price is right.) I would have an issue though if he was courting himself to other clubs publicly and telling all and sundry about how badly he wants his big move. We all know that he’d want to move to a club competing at the top of the opportunity was there, it doesn’t need to be said. Toney isn’t a Brentford supporter, he’s out to reach the highest level possible and rightly so.

I really don’t understand your viewpoint here, it’s like you are saying that respect isn’t important. We can all be unnecessarily honest many times throughout the day, but we generally choose not to because it would have unnecessary consequences and be disrespectful. It’s why I wish the best for players like Ake, Lerma and Solanke, whereas players like Fraser and Zemura can bluntly go and f**k themselves. Conduct IS important.

I just don't see why anyone would get their knickers in a twist about someone saying something that we all know to be true. Oh my god he said he would like to play for Real Madrid?!?! How will anyone recover from that?

Sounds like I'm in the minority and everyone else would prefer to engage in some sort of weird dance where everyone pretends that every single player in football wouldn't be off to Madrid in a shot if they had the chance.

It's tge sort of thing you'd joke about in person, with team mates or night out, but a bit tone def imo saying what he did on social media.

Rubs people up the wrong way. I'm all for players not being boring/drones, but that statement is a bit dumb imo.

Of course he'd jump at a chance of moving to Madrid... as would most other professionals, but yiu don't see them declaring it.

Its like (well, a little..) your misses posting on Facebook that if Di Caprio (or whatever celebrity or person they had a thing for... proposed this summer, she'd accept right away, as he's so hot, and she'd do xyz with him...

We know plenty would, given the chance, but you wouldn't air it like that fir all to read. It's disrespectful and unnecessary.

Can't make the Brentford squad now but will still be picked by Southgate.
I don't think he's injured, maybe to do with him leaving the club in the summer?
