AFC Bournemouth v Brighton

Player rating from the NSC MB, plus this below re kicking the ball out when Gross was lying down at our end of the pitch, should we have kicked ball out? Also our ball boys and girls got a mention.

"Can't help but feel hard done by, we were playing some great stuff at times and looked the better side all round. The fact they didn't kick the ball out of play for 2-3 mins until a corner was won that they eventually scored from, when he was clearly and obviously hurt and thus off the pitch in the build up to the goal, was a ****ing disgrace and one that I hope is remembered. Though I doubt it will be as that's not the way CH goes about his business."

"Their ball boys were their best performers, ours are clearly not PL ready by comparison when you consider they were naively handing the ball back to West Brom at 3-1 last weekend while our players were having to fetch the ball from the stands and put it down for Bournemouth tonight."

You used to lose whole chucks of games to retrieving over-hit balls at The Withdean if it went out at certain places. You could go get a cuppa and come back in time for the throw in.

The bloke wasn't injured, he had cramp - poor dear. There is no way we should have kicked the ball off the pitch while we were attacking. the ref looked at him a couple of times and knew he wasn't badly hurt - correct decision on his part. If Brighton had any sense or thought it was a bad injury all they had to do was commit a foul and get the play stopped.
Seaweed whingers.

That comment about the fetching of the ball is hilarious. They conveniently forget that while it was a draw and then they were one up their players were kicking and throwing the ball away from us so we couldn't take a free kick or throw in. They only started to actually give it to us when we were 2-1 up. Weird that!

Well, that was better. Particularly after Albion whinging half-hearted chants of "sacked in the morning" at Eddie.

Was very worried but we turned it around so well done to all.

Blimey. Hove fans reckon they were 'the better side all round' - we weren't great but they only had ten minutes of the game with any of the ball.

There was absolutely no reason to kick the ball out for their player. He wasn't injured and came back on after we scored. A better player wouldn't have left his team to defend a corner with ten men because of his bruised ego that he didn't get a decision. Hughton probably gave him a b*llocking behind closed doors.

Wow 8s and 9s for players on that performance! Let's be honest they hardly touched the ball in the first half and we created nothing, good 10 minute spell, then after we went ahead never really looked liked scoring!

if only we had a crosser like that.

We did, but we sold him to Newcastle.

Two assists today.

BBC

Christian Atsu put the hosts in front from a wonderful Matt Ritchie ball in the first half, before Xherdan Shaqiri curled in an equaliser from long range.

But Lascelles, who headed wide from a similar opportunity before the break, met another Ritchie delivery to win it.

They love that useless big donkey Dunk, don't they?

One of their fans was quoted in the press recently as saying they believe he is a future England international - which he could be - if every other English born central defender is struck down with bubonic plague.
