Excellent! Deserved recognition for what he’s done in his first season, in a new league and in a different country. I hope Bill is on the case re: a new and extended contract.

Iraola would be ‘very open’ to contract talks at Cherries
ANDONI Iraola insists he remains “quite calm” about his contract situation at Cherries, before adding he would be “very open” to talking with the club about a potential extension.

Just watched his latest press conference and he sounds VERY open to extending his contract, even going as far as to say that short contracts are not his preference, it’s just that so far he has been on a year by year contract for various reasons. He said that if the club decides to talk to him in the summer, of course he would be open to hearing what they have to offer.
I think this one year contract thing has been overstated.
It sounded as though he’d definitely consider making a longer term commitment in the summer, if approached !
Bill will almost certainly pull out all the stops to make it happen.
Securing Andoni for as long as possible HAS to be at the very top of Bill’s wish list, if he wants to make the most out of his investment.

Would be one of our best ‘signings’ for many a year.
Really like the bloke, always has a
