Sadly my favourite away pub for Villa, The Bartons Arms on Aston High St has closed down. Wonderful old place with stained glass windows and decorative tile walls is no more so another venue will need to be found.
 
Posted on another thread a few weeks back. Very sad and so little else around there. A truly magnificent building, grade 2 listed and great beer.
 
I'm not sure why they recommend Witton Arms as an "away friendly" pub. Never seen away fans there and they often have big banners outside the pub saying "Home fans only" :unsure:

From memory they split the place in two. There’s a side entrance that leads around the building to a bar and outside area for away fans.
 
A few seasons ago, we managed to blag our way into the Aston social club after beating them. That was an interesting experience.
