Would’nt be better if the players stopped their articles on how things need to improve,we’ve let the fans down,we must harder etc .There’s a whole new raft of these in today’s Echo.Better they kept quiet until they can turn it around on the field?

Then you'd have people complaining that they're not saying anything; that the Echo isn't giving AFCB any coverage etc. I guess it would just swap one negative thread for another.

I think in part it’s an acknowledgment to fans that the team isn’t doing enough. Helps to keep them onside. Ultimately it’s actions on the pitch that count.

It'd be better if the club fronted someone like Fletch or Glass to field these meaningless questions, and let the players stay out of the firing line and quietly focus on doing their job on the actual pitch. We don't need to hear what we've all heard from Cook and Francis 100 times before.
