Is this a turning point? Recent upsurge in reported racial abuse has certainly brought it to the fore, and maybe forcing clubs to finally act and prevent.
It's no longer a purely financial decision, as multi £million businesses, Corporate Social Responsibilty is now a real thing for them.

Not just racism but a whole range of social media ills need addressing. See mumsnet in trouble for comments posted on their website. Time to make Facebook YouTube etc more accountable for the ugly stuff posted on their site and end some of the rights to privacy for people bullying others.

Facebook have been censoring loads of people for months now, for essentially no reason, but also ignoring some really violent people. As soon as they start viewing themselves as an authority on morality, rather than just a platform, you can reasonably start holding them accountable for all this racist and violent **************** that gets posted daily.

The social media bubble is going to collapse soon imo.

While it's a pleasant development it's entirely a purely financial decision. Sponsors crap themselves when there's a whiff of anything that could damage their brand and pressure will only mount from the media and league until punishments are applied.
