David, I'm not so sure about the David Brooks comparison to be honest.

More the love child of Dan Gosling and Brooks if such a thing were possible as Bell always appeared to have unlimited energy and stamina.

Apologies to anyone who is upset by this mental image. Colin Bell was a wonderful player.

On a lighter note, when City were building their new stadium they had a poll asking fans to vote in a naming competition for one of the ends.

Colin Bell received many votes from United fans.
