They really took the game to Aberdeen. No sitting back and soaking up the pressure. Well done to them.
 
When it was Carling it was the Carling Premiership, but after Barclaycard took over sponsorship it became the Premier League. Useless info there really, but made me feel clever for a nanosecond.

Anyway, we'll soon be out of it so why worry. Or WILL we............................?
 
What difference does it make of what the hell it's called...?

You could just label them ...

English Potatoes - League 1

English Cabbages - League 2

English Turnips - League 3

English Parsnips - League 4


Or just plain and simple... First, Second, Third and Fourth Divisions..as it once was.

It doesn't make any difference to the products !

Sorry if that's a cheap p*ss-take....but it's deserved.
 
Of course the Scottish top league is the premiership so maybe the OP was saying he'd rather watch the cup than the league? :D

Because by winning it you become the champions of the Football League and lift the original championship trophy.

The Premier League is it’s own identity with a mere 30 year history.
