Development squad at Wimborne

Thought they played well against a more experienced Peterborough side containing 5 of their first team squad (three played in League One last Saturday).
Won 1-0 via a penalty in the 2nd half. Thought goalkeeper, Cam Plain, and Ben Greenwood were particularly good.
Wimborne is a good venue for these game although the competition rules don’t allow you to have a beer outside of the clubhouse. Food, drink, free parking & entry.

I read a comment from Alan Connell that the pitch was a bit slower than they would like.

It was a good venue and hope that it becomes the default home ground until Canford is finished. I guess the Jimmy Glass connection brought this about but it’s good for both Clubs as lots of food and drinks were bought. Agree the pitch looked a bit ‘scruffy’ - like it needed a closer cut but otherwise good.

Seems a shame to be behind closed doors too.

Could have had the game a few days ago and all the schools were off.

Kick off 11am, come see the reds before jumping on the park and ride and seeing the red arrows.

“We fly high” and all that. All you can bacon sarnies for £50…

Really nice that Tavernier gets 45 minutes of competition in his legs early in the week.

Looks like he should be ready to give the team a good 45 minutes or an hour after the international break!
