Excellent idea.....agree someone higher up the chain to nominate/propose him.....someone with a bit of 'clout'.....with some help from one of the local MPs maybe!
Eddie is certainly an example and role model to young people with ambitions and dreams.

I would like to nominate myself and my drinking buddy for a CBE for continuous services to Her Majestey's Government Exchequer every Saturday night in various watering holes. Obviously there was some clerical error as to why we both did not get picked up in the New Years Honours awards.
