I remember him featuring in a BBC2 documentary about stalkers years ago. He was talking about when he acted as a PR in the music business, and said something along the lines of "We had stalkers back in the day - of course, we didn't call them stalkers then, we called them bleedin' nutters"

It has always stuck with me, for some reason
 
...larger than life persona and certainly had some talent for spotting and helping potential stars like Freddie Mercury and Steve Harley in the early days...
Must have been a real driving force and flamboyant addition to a few footballers negotiatons in their meetings with managers and owners?
 
Like the story of him negotiating a goals scored bonus clause for Dave beasant, not realising he was a keeper!
