Went out tonight for one of those early Xmas parties. Five of us are Boscombe fans, some bigger than others. We agreed to have a wager before the game but could change our bets at half time but weren’t aloud to watch the game, only check scoreline at HT.
Predictions were.....4-0. 3-0. 2-0. 2-0 2-1 to CP
After seeing the score at HT and 10 men it changed to the following.........
2-0. 1-0. 1-0. 1-0. 0-0 to CP
Why the hell were four of so confident we would lose? Especially as we didn’t watch the game or see substitutions etc.
My take is simple. We’ve just forgotten how to go forward. Were the best team in the land going sideways and backwards. Keeping the ball is the Holly Grail. I just pray that Eddie sees the light.......and i think he will.
