I’m surprised by his destination. Surely he’s not good enough to be a no. 1 for a promotion chasing side but too good to be a backup. I’d have thought he could be the no. 1 for a lower / mid table club?

A bit harsh. He was out on loan (Forest?) and suffered an injury almost immediately so it was cancelled. I think that was at least half the season gone, maybe more if there were flare ups.
